hey guys, im new its my first post on the board i hope ucan help me out some......Im getting ready for my first contest its 8 weeks away, i am curently around 6% body fat so i feel i am ahead of the game. however, im am kind of confused about all of the talk on cardio. some say right when you get up on an empty stomach but the fear of losing hard earned muscle puts a damper on that. I am currently doing my cardio before i work out, for about 20-30 min daily at a rather non intense pace. Is high intensity better? should i use a combination of the two? please help me out here those who have compeated and have obtained a toaly shredded body. every thing i seem to read says one way or the other wihtout any conclusive evidence......thanks guys Matt

Hey. If I was you I would not do the cardio in the morning; because if you are truly at 6% bf right now, then you dont need the extra fat/muscle burning benefits of morning cardio. Just experiment and find a good time for you to do cardio, and stick with it.

Hi Brick,
are you saying that oatmeal has a lower GI than brown rice? Just curious
