--Bit of a background on the shoulder--

about 3yrs ago i was playing aussie rules footy and i went to tackle a much larger person than myself, i tackle him in a slinging motion going from left to right. as i am doing this, i feel my muscles in my left shoulder just pull like bugger and pain just swept through.

the next day i went to the doctors and they said it was just strained and pulled and should be right in a few weeks.

fast track a few months and i got bumped in football and landed on my shoulder and then the pain came again. which took weeks again to heal.

and basically since then my shoulder goes in stages of being in pain and not. ive re-injuried it in water polo, cricket, football, lifting, but i was able to bear with it.

now, last monday i just woke up and my shoulder was in tremendous pain. even moving it to turn my alarm clock off would just sent ripping pain through out it. and what has got me confused it, my shoulder was pain free for at least 4-6months, no problems, and waking up to this kind of pain was strange.

so basically every morning i wake up if i move my left shoulder the tiniest bit, pain is just too much to handle. if i am not doing anything in the day, it gets easier to deal with. but at night time it gets just as bad as the morning. but it hurts alot more in the morning.

so can anyone help me here? tell me whats up with this shoulder? i havent been doing weights lately cos of it, and i am so motivated to get back into it, and it is going to suck if i cant do weights!

thanks, reps for good replies
