Ok, so what have you all experienced and feel is the average amount of time that I will be spending on stage for prejudging. I am doing novice and crossing into the mens open middleweight class as well. Overall throughout the day including my posing routine I am expecting to have to be on stage for a total of 60 minutes TOPS provided they need extra time to look at people and switch them around but I was just wondering what you all think might occur time wise and what your experiences have been.

If you are prepared for 60 min, you will be fine. But it really varies too much.
If the class is a no brainer, than 5 to 10 minutes, if not, double that.
My last show I was in, I got dizzy from doing the quarter turns so fast!

entirely dependant on the size of the class and the quality of competiton

The longest I've been on stage for a pre-judging was around 15-25 minutes I think... for posing routine, it was additional 60-90 seconds, then if you place, more quarter turns, pose off... Realistically, its highly unlikely to last 60 minutes...Maybe 45 tops... BTW, what organization you compete in? I didn't know novice could cross over in open... I knew teen and masters could cross over.. I was under the impression one had to "earn" the right to compete in certain classes.. For instance, when you win a novice show, then you can advance to open, and to pro....

That right to compete only applies to national level and professional shows. Anyone can do the open class in a regional show.

I thought the novice prejudging would be quick. Don't they just line you up, have you do the manditories and then you're done? I've never seen a prejudging but I was thinking 10 minutes max.
I just want to get this over with.
