I used to do a few tournaments a year with my bro-in-law. He knows several people on the professional circuit. They all had "free" boats and gear and wore the funny shirts.....:D I learned a lot from those guys. Caught the biggest catfish of my life last summer. 45lbs at Lake Sarah in Illinois. That thing looked like a pre-historic monster. Catfishing is my favorite. I make a mean stinkbait......:D I used to live on a stocked lake a few years ago. I could cast from my back door. It was a cool place.
Catfish are certainly my passion. Last year I caught several 20+ pound channel catfish out of the Missouri river. The largest catfish I ever caught was a 67 pound flathead catfish out of a reservoir in Lawrence, Kansas.
Of course fishing for catfish can be quite boring at times, so I ocupy my time by jigging for crappie. They are small, but they taste so good.

I had a cheat day yesterday. Yes the whole day I indulged in every type of food imaginable to me. I literally stuffed myself silly. This post will list everything that I can remember that I ate yesterday. I won't even attempt to guess the calories. Anyway yesterday morning I weighed in at 236.4 pounds, before the cheating started.
6 chocolate chip cookies
creme filled donut
2 chicken/egg/cheese breakfast biscuits
2 chocolate brownies
2 beef hot dogs/buns
small bag of doritos
Arbys turkey club sandwich/curly fries
bottle of muscle milk
pizza hut medium thin crust pepperoni pizza
10 wingstreet wings
6 oranges
can of tuna
meatloaf frozen dinner
2 taquitos
Anyway I weighed myself last night after eating like that and I weighed 246 pounds.
Anyway I woke up this morning and got right back on track, hitting the treadmill for a good hour. When I got back home I weighed myself again. This time I weighed in at 238 pounds. So I guess the pig out cost me a good 1.6 pounds. That sucks, but not the worst thing to have happened. Anyway, I am having another cheat day next month :)

Just one small bag of doritos? I'm disappointed in you. Had my cheat today and I could only manage two plates at the china buffet but you know damn well that I loaded up on protein. I'm starting to suck at eating bad. However, I did redeem myself by eating some candy bar that totaled 1,100 calories.

I don't know about you, but I have to be careful of the meal I have before getting on the treadmill for long runs.........or a disaster that sends me sprinting to the bathroom occurrs. I could only imagine what that cheat frenzy must have done to you.
That being said, I have had food freakouts since losing my weight......, but none to the extent you described....bravo....:D. Just make sure you never do it two days in a row. That can cause a major issue of becoming three days....and on and on.

You know thats really funny because though I didn't mention it (it was sort of embarrassing), I had to rush home after jogging for just that reason :D
I don't usually freak out like that, but old habits are hard to give up I guess. Anyway, back on track now. Its really easy for me to get back on track, I have such a routine set up that it is easy.

Yeah ton of food, probably the most food I have eaten in one day for over a year. At least I avoided the soda.

Yeah, one small bag of doritos, odd how that ended up in there. Also the 6 oranges was odd. I ate them throughout the day, honestly they tasted better than the donut.

Its good for the mental health dude...
your running is looking really good by the way. Can I ask what your resting HR per minute is?
I have been following the log of a runner whose HR is 35 bpm.But it was 28 at one stage earlier this year.Scary...

Well Tony the only thing I can say is you never really have this thing down until you can cheat and get back on track like it was nothing!!!! I see you have that part down as well. There is nothing wrong with going a little crazy. If anyone thinks they are never gonna pig out again then they have lost before they start. You know your life has changed when you can have fun and go right back into your normal life of healthy eating and exercise. Today I had 10 wings and a cheese burger with fries followed by 1 1/2 hours at the gym. Monday its right back to the game plan. I remember when I ate every meal like it was my last now its more like one out of every 100.

You are right about that. I hopped right back on the program like it was nothing. Honestly it was hard going off the program, I love the pattern and repetition. I have had perfect diet/exercise for the last 2 days.
Anyway, I was reading another thread on the losing fat forum and it kind of made me really think about how much farther I have to go. Initially my thought was that I would be in great shape at about 225 pounds, but looking at how I look now, I realize I have either underestimated my BF%, or overestimated my lbm. I am pretty sure I wouldn't be at 15% BF at 225 pounds. So I guess that I need to reassess my goals. I never really wanted to go below 200 pounds (I like being big), but I want to get to as low a BF% as possible, and that may be necessary.
This is what I am going to do. I am going to push myself as low as 200 pounds, and at that point decide if I want to go any farther. I am right around 238 right now, and if my diet is spot-on and saying I lose 2 pounds a week, I can be around 200 pounds by August. I had wanted to reach 10% BF by June, but that wasn't realistic after all. Especially since I have cheated with more frequency in the last 3-4 months than ever before. I'm not going to say that I won't cheat at all during that entire time, but cheats like the one last Friday will not happen again, and I will try to limit any cheat meals to once every 14 days at most. Looking at the calendar, that puts my next cheat meal on at earliest March 28th. I think this will work out better if I plan it.

Planed cheat meals are a double edged sword buddy. Instead of realizing that you want to lose fat, you objective becomes to hold on to training and will till that next cheat and then explode on it once it comes. If not, than you cheat on that date without really needing to, you just cheat for the sake of cheating because you planned it...not because you really need it. What i'mn trying to say is, perhaps set a date to when you may cheat if needed, not cheat on that date. Just be careful, they seemed to do this to me. Just a heads up, it may not be the same for you, however.

I forgot to mention that I changed up my diet a little bit starting todat. I eat the same thing every day to make getting my macros easier. Now I will be getting more protein and less carbs than before. I am including more fruit/vegetables as carb sources rather than bread. Also I replaced my protein bar and protein drink with real food, since it is much more filling. I have had issues with hunger lately.
Also I will now be eating 6 servings of fruit/vegetables a day. Two bananas, two oranges, and two servings of broccolli or green beans. My protein source for my last two meals is now boneless skinless chicken breasts rather than lean steaks, since the chicken is lower in fat/cals, higher in protein, and cheaper. I can eat an 8oz portion while with the steak I could only eat about 6oz for the same number of cals.
These are the meals
meal 1-protein shake(1 cup milk, 2 scoops protein powder, 1 banana, ice)
meal 2- 2 ham/cheese sandwiches (lean ham and fat free cheese, with mustard and a pickle), an orange, fat free pudding cup
meal 3- same as meal 2
meal 4- 8oz boneless skinless chicken breast/sauce, brocolli
meal 5- same as meal 4
meal 6 (Post work out)- protein shake(1 cup milk, 2 scoops protein powder, 1 banana, 1 tsp. of creatine powder, ice)
Anyway the macros break down like this:
2480 calories
292g protein
246g carbs
48g fat
Today was my first day on this meal plan and I was full all day and not hungry once, unlike yesterday when just 30 minutes after downing a protein bar, I was hungry again. Anyway this should help me a lot, it seems like a lot more food than before.

Yeah I know what you mean, when I first started I thought I was going to look great in a year. I got plenty of compliments but that was people who were used to seeing me at 434 pounds. On april 30th I will be at my three year mark and im finally starting to look pretty good to people who didnt know me when I was a bone crusher. It wont be long now. My weight doesnt change that much these days but the body fat is still going down. I can see my top abs but this bottom is going to take some more time. It doesnt matter to me because everyday I look better Im 36 years old and thank god because of the choices I made over the last three years I have plenty of time to look great. Just think 33 years of damage can be repaired in three years. I think thats more than fair. Im still going to post some pictures after my three year mark

The alternative is cheating on an unplanned basis, which is what happened last Friday, and you see how that turned out. In truth, I never need to cheat, I could survive just fine if it never happened again. Problem is that I would truly be a hermit then, unable to eat out with friends or family ever for any reason. Thats why I am allowing myself a cheat every two weeks.

Yeah its a great feeling having taken control of your life. If there is one thing I love, it is control, and discipline. It seperates man from beast. Having fixed a lifetime of damage in a few years is a great feeling.

I have just got to say, I have really started to like natural bodybuilding. They train very hard, their diets are very strict, and they live true bodybuilding lifestyles. It took me a while to come around, I was so used to seeing the huge IFBB pros, but sitting here and looking at pics, I have a hard time not admiring the hard work that they do, and thinking to myself that if I work hard, I actually could achieve a physique like theirs.

Diet looks pretty sound, depending on how "strict" you want to eat you could probally eek out some more food to keep you fuller, but it might be duller lol.
Only thing that really sticks out, cut out the cup of milk PWO and have water instead cause it will slow down the digestion of your protein. Maybe switch the cup of milk to a cup of cottege cheese and have the cottege cheese before you go to bed? I hate cottege cheese though haha.

When I get to 225 pounds, I am going to do The Cut Diet. You know the one by Team Scivation. I have been reading the pdf version of the book and it honestly doesn't look too different from what I am doing now, just less carbs and more fat. Its a contest prep diet and though I have no plans to enter any contests, since those are proven methods of lowering bf%, I have to try it. The overall goal is still sub 10% BF.

I don't see any reason why you couldn't start the diet now. Maybe start at 235 if you want to start on a specific number or something? I did it before and had some success with it. I've been carb cycling for the past like 2.5 months though and i love every day of it.

Haha, I know the feeling I *Rarely* (honestly I Would say never but we know that's not real but that's about how often i cheat, i'm talking 1 cheat meal, not even a day, every month or two). Like 2 monday's ago I had a family party and had some pizza and crap, and ever since then i've been dying for cheat's. Everything looks so good, and i've never had that problem. I just keep thinking "Easter is in a few days" and I know i'm going all out on easter. Even though i'm not trying to loose weight anymore, but trying to slowly add mass, i still don't want too baloon out. I have put on a few pounds, and look more defined then ever.

It must be hard trying to bulk, I would be afraid of gaining all the fat back, but I guess if you take it slow, it will be alright. I will probably have to follow a strict bulking program so I don't balloon up.

I honestly don't think I've gained any fat barley. Sometimes I look bloated as hell on my high carb days but someday's it's like "Damn i'm more defined now then when i was cutting".
It's all a mind game, especially after being over weight when coming to bulking cause you never want to get fat again, but you still have to allow yourself to gain some fat.
