I usually go to the gym about 30-45 minutes after I eat my first meal, so should I be eating low GI carbs for that first meal or should I be eating protein instead?????

Thanks,

Personally, I eat both. I have a serving of oatmeal, some scrambled egg whites, & usually almonds or walnuts for a healthy fat. I don't know if that is optimal, but I find I have good energy for my workouts doing it this way.

I think that's a fine breakfast for training.

Thanks to the both of you, sounds good to me. I'm having egg whites and some corn in the morning lately, but I didn't realize that corn was high GI.....I know I read that somewhere.

Anyway, if I had to pick a favorite meal it would probably be breakfast, and if I had to skip my breakfast ever, I'd be chewing on a shoe or something. I'm a hungry girl!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks again,

I love breakfast too :)

I always have 9 scrambled egg whites with either 1pc dark rye toast or 1/4 cup oats

That sounds good to me right now....it's almost time for me to eat, maybe I'll have some breakfast in the afternoon....it's allowed, right???? :)
