what method do you use to measure your bodyfat. Like take three measurements and use the average? on biceps you hold you bicep straight out for the 15 measurement?

I use calipers since it is easy. I am going to get some higher quality calipers soon. I am testing my bf% using Hydrostatic weighing next week in my Exercise Physiology lab.

Arm measurement is hanging by side.

You look bigger then what the measurements say. where do you measure your quads high up or in the middle?, because your legs look way bigger then 26"

Middle

I don't care much for measurements as bodybuilding is a visual sport, but everyone always asks and it is an easy way to track progress.

lol, i didn't mean what you use to actually take the mesaurements. i mean how do you get the actual percent.

I have seen some people take measurements at different places and average or use a formula or something, that is why i was asking.

Hey Beast, are you still working on your section of the teen bb board? Because if you are then I think its time to update the measurements.

Hey beast what type of calipers are you using or going to use. I have the accu measure and I do not like them.

I have the same and am looking for a better pair. I had the chance to use some fancy, heavy, metal ones in class. There were awesome. So much easier to measure with. They applied the pressure themselves and all you have to do is read it. No clicking on little plastic markers...

Has anyone tried the electronic one one this site?

I have the cheap version :(

beast, I know you said you don't care for measurements but when you measure your chest do you put the tape just under the fold of you shoulders? and do you flex (not spread) your lats?

Beast

Yes, under my shoulders (in the armpits) relaxed, no lat flarring.

What was the result of that test, as compared to your own caliper measuring?

Also, I believe str8flexed uses the digital caliper in the link that you showed.

Ask him how its working out.

8.9% with the expensive ones.
I just did my bf% today (6 days later) and it measured at 8.5%. I know I lost some fat, so they are pretty close.
