Well this is my first post on the board so ill give you some info and my stats and goals. Im 16 years old and 5'11. I weigh in at 174 pounds and I bench around 160 so im not very strong. My goals are to lose some weight and to get in shape. I dont wanna get 'HUGE' but I would like to get toned and turn my fat into muscle. I've ordered Stacker 2 and ill be getting it in a week or so. I plan on using it to lose weight and get energy. Here are some pics of me now.......not much to look at but hopefully I will be posting total transition pictures soon.
Well here they are.........

Thanks- Mike

It's good to see another journal, especially from another 16 year old.
You need to read the stickies.
Fat can't be turned into muscle. You can lose fat and gain muscle, but one cannot be turned into the other.
If you post your routine, I will critique it.

I dont exactly have a routine. Ive been reading up alot on the site and im looking for some help with that. I dont plan on 'turning' the muscle into fat thats why im using the stacker :) Right now im looking for a good lifting and cardio routine and also some kind of Dieting Plan.

Look through the other journals and find a routine that you like. I think there is a sticky in the workout program section with a whole bunch of routines. Just pick one and I'll critique it.
Sorry, but I can't help you with your diet. It isn't one of my strong points. :(

Looking at your pictures, you are what's called an ectomorph. Read this article on bodytypes:
http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/mayner3.htm
As I see it, your problem is not that you are "fat", it is your body composition or proportion. Your waist and hips are wide relative to your shoulders and legs.
You are 16 and I sense a beginner at this, so my suggestions are begin a basic weight training routine centered on basic compound exercises(see the article) with some cardio on a weekly basis and less emphasis on Stacker 2 as a solution.
Just by beginning a proper weight program, you should see muscle development quickly in the upper body and legs, which will begin to offset that illusion right now caused by your waist and hip structure.
As an ectomorph, you burn energy rapidly and those fat burners exaggerate this even more. What could happen with these is you will lose weight, but you will lose MUSCLE as well as fat and all you will be is a smaller 160 pounder with the same out of proportion( small shoulders, big waist and hip body ) look you have now. You WILL NOT LOOK ANY DIFFERENT.
I don't want to write all of this out again, so take a look at my March 13th reply to this thread for my thoughts on constructing a beginning weight training program, cardio and diet. The guy here is also your age.

An important thing to note is that I do not think you should be using a split routine at this point. That should come once you have at least a couple of months of training under your belt.

Thank you for the awsome reply you answered all my questions. BB.com is sold out of Stacker 2 so I have $80 credit im gonna get some Optium Whey Protien and im not sure on what kind of creatine i am gonna order. About the split routine ive been working out for about 6 months now. I know it dosent show at all but its because I didnt have a schedule or anything. I would just go out to my garage and get on our workout 'Machine' and do a little wuss 15 minute workout and go inside and eat a bunch of junk food. I know I can handle a split routine and im looking for one that has it where i can work out 5 times a week. As far as a diet I think im gonna do the one called 'stop eating fatass.' Ill just eat smaller portions with food thats better for me but not go on some restricting diet. I welcome anymore comments, im still learning and im sure there is alot of knowledge the board regulars can fill me in on.
