Hello all. Alright, here's the deal. My girlfriend is actually the one who needs all of your help. She's very athletic and in really good shape with the exception of a somewhat larger lower body (her butt and legs). Her abs look great! Of course I tell her she's in perfect shape but she's definitely not satisfied.

Now I'm a competitive bodybuilder and I've given her some workouts and she's had some success. I think her thighs have tightened up a little cause they used to show some signs of cellulite. I've had her doing circuit training (consecutive sets w/minimal rest) and sets of about 15-20 reps and she runs all the time. I've really worked with her on her diet and it's pretty solid now.

She just wants the circumference of her legs and her butt to get smaller. Any suggestions in terms of diet, training, or cardio that'll help her shrink like she's after???? I just love her to death and hate seeing her so self concious. Thanks all!!!

I a similar body type. I have learned that high reps, plyometric exercises, and hill sprints or bleacher training help whittle away the fat. Of course I have to eat clean as well.

A couple of exercises I really like are step ups, using a bench and 10 lb. weights I step up to a fully extended position, and squeeze my glutes at the top. I then lower myself back down to the starting position and repeat. I do 20-25 reps per leg and do 3-4 sets. Another is either walking lunges or explosive lunges where I start in a walking lunge position, spring straight up and in mid air switch my legs so I come down with the other leg in front. I always control the landing and make sure of my knee and foot placement to avoid injury. I do 100, and take a 10 sec breather once or twice. Rest 2 min and go again. This also revs my heart rate, so I am getting double the effect.
