Since everybody on the supplement board is entering the 3 month transformation contest hosted by Mr. Aries, i might as well join them in this quest.

I tried CKD 3 months ago and was able to recomp a bit. However I wasn't following the diet with strictness that i should have. I was very skeptical as first with other people, how such a high fat will help you lost weight and preserve muscle at the same time. The results was good but alas not great. I also found out that I seem to plateau within a short amount of time. Currently I am on a break from CKD for 2 weeks because I found out there are other people that stagnant as well. When i just started CKD, everything was fuzzy at first, I didn't knew exactly what to do. That combined with a not so great motivation, I wasn't at optimal pace. This time, I want to do it the strict right way, with no easy shortcuts. I'm not messing around this time. Starting Monday morning, Bring it! I dont plan on quitting any time soon. I mean I eat sausage and red meat 5.5 days a week, and delicious carbs the other 1.5 days. I love working out, so what reason is there to quit?

As expected, i am not in ketosis yet. I had to switch my workout and off days due to pressing circumstances. So today will be my off-days. My energy level was bit higher than usual. Maybe it was because of the excitement of a brand new week. I have no problem so far. When i tried CKD the first time, i had headaches and was a bit lethargic. This time, its smooth sailing so far. Maybe ill experience it in 2 or 3 days.

Is that protein amount working for you? I don't have any less than 150G of protein a day, as recommended by lyle, so I've been following that. I used to take in 130-140, and felt week in the gym. Most go up to 1g per 1 pound of weight and feel much better.

well today is my off day. so i usually take in less protein. my pwo shake adds another 30g of protein. and this is 1 day of keto. i have to try to get into ketosis.

I weighed in at 206 today...I was 200.6 before the diet break, so I just put on the water. I'm not worried about it. I cant wait to get into the gym, and we're having a big football game tuesday! :D

Yea, Its nice. We play basketball at least 2 times a week when everyone is home for summer. Sometimes we play football as well...just depends on temperatures and how our schedules line up.
Didn't used to be that way, we all used to play video games for days upon end. All the while drinking as much soda as one can imagine.

What is your main goal right now as far as in the weight room, strength or size? Is fat loss the #1 priority over any sort of muscular development?

yeh right now fat loss is priority. i always have time to bulk up in the winter time. well for me, volume workout always worked for me. i have always maintained my strength with volume. i feel i hit the muscle harder and respond better with volume as oppose to higher intensity but less sets. but then again its just me. it has never failed me before, so i don't want to mess with anything. but ill keep your opinion in my mind.

Note : I went up in reps on most of my workouts for some reason. this is the biggest burst of energy i ever encountered. It was better than any nitric oxide product i took before. The energy was constant also. I was also sweating like a grease monkey and i stunk afterwards. :D I think it was because i had whole food instead of just a shake this time. Today was the only day i had solid food before working out. The only thing that was bothering me was the stomach discomfort. maybe i ate too much.

im starting to see my top two abs forming and my biceps and triceps are standing out more. i made progress, but i feel i can do alot better. i haven't had a decent cardio session yet.

Well thats encouraging, because Ive been on it for 5 days, not seeing to much progress in the mirror yet, and have only lost maybe 1 or 2lbs. My diet has been perfect and Ive also had 3 cardio sessions. On Wednesday I coulda swore I looked noticeably leaner, then today I looked the same as I started. Weird.

nah. ive been busy trying to get a stable job. i heard its not that great. but i am looking for to transformer and bourne ultimatum. plus looking at your journal kinda give me an inspiration too. i hate asian genetics lol.

its not so much as not eating that much as to forgetting to eat. my appetite has been suppressed. i keep forgetting to eat. plus im too lazy to cook lol. well i make sure i was depleted last week, and it was great. i felt my carbs were shuttle better than the 2 weeks before. im getting bigger, even though im trying to cut. my stomach is still ugly. lol

its chopped up!! it was mostly string beans. well usually when i eat too little, i feel very lethargic and crappy. plus those oil+whey shake helps out alot.

well it depends. this week i had a baseball game. so i want to feel 100%. even though my workout throughout the week weren't intense, i still carbed up. im happy it didn't overspill. but usually i carb up weekly and if i don't work out, i carb up bi-weekly. my gym membership is about to be up. so most likely im gonna go with the bi-weekly carbup.

You can stay in ketosis while eating oats and whole wheat pasta? I don't think that would work for me. Or is this a carbup?

no every 1 month or so, i eat carbs for about a week to reset my metabolism back to pre-keto level. its like taking 1 step back to go 2 step forward.

weight didn't shift much. but loss of 3 inches and a gain of .75 inch on my bicep is what keeping me happy. will i do it again? i will, but this time gonna be more strict. i was really loose in terms of caloric intake. but right now im jumping into carb cycling first to get my leptin back in place.
