Today- Total upper body workout
Already have good chest and dont need much work. I do a couple light warmup sets on the flat dumbell press, then do one set to failure using a rep speed of ten up and ten down with the 60's to failure .
I drink one pint of water.
I then do up and down the rack side laterals using the 5's for 6, 10's for 6, 15's for 6, 20's for 6 and 20's to failure . I then go down to the 15's and go to failure and can hardly move my arms after the set.
I then do a different version of the bent over lateral: I do one very light warmup set to get my form down. I then do a moderate heavy set stopping a couple reps from failure.
I then do one set to failure. Id say my form could of been better and the weight was too heavy . Not surpising with a new exercise i havent done in awhile.

I drink another pint of water.

I then do wide grip lat pulldown in good strict form , pyramiding up to one set to failure , not with my heaviest weight i can use but a moderately heavy weight so i can do around 10 reps instead of 6 or so.
I then do one set to failure in the nautilus pullover . After i hit failure i do one set to failure in the reverse grip chinup and get 18 reps. Not bad for a 350 pounder. I love doing these when people are watching. I just makes me more motivated to know they can't do it at 150 let alone 350. I try not to smile .
Doing one set to failure in the chinup is my specialty in convining people to do one set to failure in everything. It doesnt take much to convice people to only do one set in the chinup and i ask why not in the others too.
I drink another pint of water .

I then do one arm dumbell curls pyramiding up to one set to failure in good form , .

I then do tricep pushdowns with the rope to failure . I do one light warmup set . I then do one set to failure with the entire stack which is tough . I try not to use momentum . I get a better pump when i go slow from the start. i do one set to failure. Cant remember the reps because i was in such pain i couldnt count.
People ask how do i know from workout to workout if i was successful at it because i need to go up in weight or reps each workout. My answer is as an advanced trainer i may not do that exercise again and next time i will use a different exercise or machine which i find great for people wanting new growth.
I find this the key to my progression. I might do one exercise and never do it again.
I drink another pint of water.
I was hoping to run into the new chick in the gym but she wasnt there. I hope to catch her next monday.
Thoughts in my head during the workout-
Need to speed it up because basketball and the apprentice is coming on.
2. I wish i had my ephedrine back. I then noticed i was lifting the same weights i was using on ephedrine and wandering what i could ot if i was on it again.
3. Music sucks. I need to get my own music to listen to. I can listen to a song on the radio and it will stay in my head during the workout.
4. Keeping a straight face listening to all the people talk about muscletech is tough. They wont listen to me preach about hit let alone muscletech.

What are your goals and current stats?

18 chin ups at 350 is amazing.

When you said you did dumbell presses with a rep speed of ten up and ten down do you mean that it took 20 seconds to do each rep?

yeah 20 seconds , i dont do that often just when i feal i cant go up in weight with 2 up and down or whatever.
My current goals is to get my biceps bigger , more rear delt, more forearms and a more balanced physique and then get cut in the late fall and take all winter to get cut and hopefully be cut a year from now.

How tall are you and do you know what your bodyfat % is? Sorry to keep asking questions, but 18 chin ups at 350 goes against all conventional wisdom, although I do believe you. :) I'm just curious as to what you look like now.

Im 6'2 and look like im 275, have no idea how im 350, in fact im around 360. Im big everywhere except the crotch area of course. I kind of look like mike quinn bulked if you know what he looks like.
I do hit training and when i do something i try to push myself to do one rep more. I did 55 once in 98 when i was around 280 is the main reason i can do 18 so you could say im weaker. I never ever do a second set to failure ever.

been doing the same workouts lately but now doing a total upper body workout on thursday doing 2-3 seconds on the postive and around 6-10 seconds on the negative.
I did dumbell pullover instead of nautilus pullover for the first time in like 4 years and i sure can feel it.
I also did cable crossover curls for bicep peak facing the mirror . You can sure feel these in the peak area.
Tennis season is coming up for me as i play mainly on friday and saturday so i will be switching to monday likely and do legs 2 to 4 days later when im not playing tennis.
Im taking a new multi and new vitamin C just to see if its as good. Solatron from Gnc

havent been keeping up with this because i remember all my workouts in my head with no problem.

Today I did legs. First leg workout in a month.

Nautilus leg extension: 10lbs for 10 reps, 20 for 20, 30 for 6

Regular barbell squats which i havent done in over a year. Been doing a diff exericise every leg workout pretty much. I shock my muscles with a new exercise whenever i can.

Squat- 135 for 10, 185 for 6, 225 for 2, 285 for 2, 315 for 2

Leg extensions: 50lbs for 6, 100 for 2, 150 to failure doing 4 up and 4 down and a static hold for 5 seconds . Had to stop the pump was just too much.

1 minute rest: Squat 410 for 8 reps

I then did 225 for failure and did rest pause until i did 40 reps which seemed it took forever. I did 20 reps, then i would just stay at the top position and breath in and out and suck up energy and then do as many as i can. I used a good rep speed so if i felt i might fall i would just speed up the rep since i was usually excellent form. I did this until i did 40 reps. I then drank a pint of water and went home. No calves or hams . I dont need hams and it got worked plenty in the squat .

Total time from when i went in and went out was 38 minutes

Yes one work set to failure in leg extension and one work set to failure in the squat and one drop set.

See why hit can work now.

why can't i have bodyfat. The greatest athletes in the world have fat on them. Roger Clemens was voted best in shape athlete over 40 and his stomach stick out a mile. Women tennis players are overweight with the excpetion of a couple. The best hr hitters are overweight. Offensive lineman are overweight and when the game is over they want more and the skinny guys are tired.

Just thought i would post that . I never said i had 5 percent bodyfat. IN fact i ate a bag of doritos and half gallon of choc milk and 4 snickers today.

The difference between a liar and an honest person isn't difficult to tell. You posted two workouts and they were over 2 months apart. I've never been the strongest guy in the gym. But if I were I doubt I'd be looking over my shoulder snickering at people who can't lift that much. I bet I'd be content enough within myself to know I'm strong and I'm doing the best I can. Wait...I'm already content within myself and I'm a newbie.
I've read many of your posts and I've gathered enough to realize that you fabricate most of the things you say. I hope you find contentment in your life. I hope you realize the lies you spill out here aren't garnering the results you desire. I simply felt sorry for a miserable person when I read your words in this thread. Find yourself some truth. Being real is very satisfying.

no i dont fabricate nothing . Those lifts are in good form. Not powerlifting. I can powerlfift much more but i could care less about how much i can lift. Great location there rookie.

no i dont fabricate nothing . .

This is a double negative which actually means that you do, in fact, lie. Nice journal.

Kingfish,

I am wondering on two things. Firstly, I am curious in why your using that particular rep speed?

Secondly, I notice in your first post how you want ephedrine. If you feel tired &/or need to use a stimulant, perhaps you need to take an extra rest day? How many rest days are you using at the moment?

Good thread, stay posting. :)

I'll call you a liar. Post a video, and I'll paypal you $100.

I offered the same thing to waynelucky, and he declined. Shame..."easy" 100 dollars, eh?
