I have been doing ab exercises twice a week for the last two months. My top 2 abs are visibly there and bulge, but the ones under that, one shows and one doesn't at all. I don't know what it could be, I exercise both sides the same.

If anyone has any advice please let me know.

I have the same thing. I think it's because crunches only work the upper/middle abs, and also because there is more fat in the lower torso than the upper.

It can be fat, or lack of lower abs exercises ... you can't get those ripped 6-8 packs just doing regular crunches ...

no it's not from fat or missing lower abs.

I must be confused. I thought I read that what we call "abs", as if it were plural, is really all one muscle.

that is because your body stores more of its fat in your lower abdomin and around the waste. If you want those lower abs to show then you should try to lose that fat with diet, weight lifting, and cardio

Could be nerve damage. Go see a doc maybe he can tell for sure.

Or it could just be their shape, which you can't change.

If that's the case, then it is just your genetics. Either its the way your muscles grow or how and where your body stores fat.
