in HST, its set up (well the sample workout) for :

2 weeks of 15 reps
2 weeks of 10 reps
2 weeks of 5 reps
2 weeks of negatives

those are the rep ranges assigned for the begginers workout. Each workout your supposed to increment (add weight), until you hit your max for that rep range, remmeber?

ya... thats what i thought, i just wanted to make sure you knew, well, i guess im starting w/ 10 reps, then i'll go to 5, then negs. then start over w/ 15. well, i dont know exactly what my rep range is, i think i can do 105-110 for 10 reps, so im gonna increase it. i'll write up here tonight bout my workout.

One of the most important thing about HST are the increments. Your supposed to work up to your maxes for that particular rep range.

Good luck with your HST split. Ill watch over this :)

o freakin yes, i missed tuesday due the feelin of crappyness, i wasnt feeling great today but i got it done, OUCHYS!!!! i tried adding 5lbs. to everything, and i got it all... i added 10lbs. on my incline, and 10lbs. on my squat, i actually finished the routine, i thought that was pretty amazing, although i didnt do both sets on the barbell curls, but i did the same weight on that, 50 i think. Well, thats about it, im not feeling nothing now but i know that tomorrow, moving is gonna be hell. OOO YAH! i changed out SLDLs for Leg Extensions, im really worried bout my quads so im workin them hard, plus, my back was sore for a long time, just hurting from doing the dl's. so, thats it, i feel good!

Good job. Did you do any chins? You increased everything by 5 pounds and got all the reps? Sounds familiar...

watcha mean it sounds familiar??? well, yah, i added that, and i found at my 10 rep max for incline which is 110, ummm, no i didnt do chins cause i have no where to do them, i workout in my bedroom and i dont have the stuff to do it. so, was replacin sldls w/ leg extensions a good idea???? i still got all the other exercises. :)

If you look at my journal you'll see why it sounds familiar. I just asked about chins because in the first post in this journal you said you didn't do chins because you were too tired, and I was just wandering if you did them.

You should probably keep the SLDL. Those are very good for the hamstrings, and you want them to be balanced with your quads. As long as you hit the squats hard, you will be fine. If you really want to hit the quads, add in front squats. They will work better than the leg extensions.

Is your back straight while you do them? You don't have to go all the way down; just go as low as you can comfortably. However, if they continue to hurt your back, then drop them.

yah, backs straight, i bend down, leavin my legs straight and bring it up, hold it a sec. then i bring it back down, dont let it hit the ground, then i come back up, thats about it... maybe i should just decrease the weight and do it like that. i dont know, i'll try again saturday.

well, i dont have school on friday, so i figure i'll workout, im no where near sore and i think it'll do good for me, i dont know if im seeing any gains, lil early to tell, but i am feeling better, i should of weighed myself in the beginning... o'well, i dont got a scale anywayz, but i got my measurements, i need to remeasure though. im sure my chest is getting bigger, feels bigger, my legs are getting more cut up, i had none, now i got a few running through, but i gotta intense up the routine a little. my legs are going to get hit HARD! i need to intense up the chest, i havent done flat bench in a while, i think that im going to start flat bench again on tuesday and do that for 2 weeks or something, keep my reps around 10, then in another 2 weeks i'll switch to 5 reps, thats going to be FUN! =D i think my reg. bench may go up w/ me doin this incline or something, i dont know, i really dont know what it is im talking about. Well, i'll see tomorrow if im working ot or not, i think i will so i can leave earlier to go to my gfs saturday. well, post later :D

ok, i didnt workout friday, but i did max on bench, even though i wasnt doing it in my routine although im starting now, i went up 5lbs. on bench w/ only doing incline. but, it got me past my plateau which was 160 so i think im going to start making some awesome gains, and also when i get my job im gonna start taking no2, creatine, and whey... this should really boost me up, im planning on working out today and i'll get the cord for my camera today HOPEFULLY ive said this so many times and the mail has always ****ed me over, maybe they wont try it again :) i'll post again later.
