Correct, im black and still use pro tan. Everyone needs to come in as dark as they can.

I find that using at least 3-4 coats of Pro Tan and a final coat of Dream Tan on the morning of your contest works well.
Also using Dream Tan prevents the need for oil.

Hes not competing, he doesnt need to be as dark because he does not have to deal with the stage lights!
He would look stupid in his beach photoshoot if he was to have 4 coats of protan + dream tan on. Plus I dont think theyd be too happy when they saw what the dream tan did to the board shorts.
1, maybe 2 coats of pro-tan is all you need.

He is in the Contest Prep Section asking about Pro Tan products.
No where does it say that he's not competeing or mention anything regarding a beach photo shoot so relax little man.

Hey, sorry I didnt mean to come off as being rude! I have seen another one of his threads so I just happened to already know his situation. I believe he's doing a photo shoot coming up soon....
He didnt clarify that in this thread so I just wanted to make sure you guys knew and he got the advise he needed.

x2 yeah. forgot to add this is for a photoshoot for one of my best friends moms swimwear/surf shop company. shes taking me and my buddies to the beach for like a week and a half if i would model some of her stuff for an ad haha. i dont need a contest tan just a good golden brown tan for a photoshoot. when should i use the pro tan, like a week before and like 3 days before or not? what kinda tint does it leave your skin with?
thanks,

I've never used tanning products. Do they all rub/wash off or do some fake tans dye your skin?

pro tan is a skin stain it doesnt wash off immediately. It fades away over about an extended perios of time depending on how hard you scrub and how many showers a day you take. Usually about 5 days.
rsm- you could just get a mystic spray tan if you havent considered it, that was a good suggestion by natural pump. If you want to go with the pro-tan then you should have someone apply it at night 2 days before the photoshoot. and after you shower the next morning it will rinse off the excess. That way you can touch up any uneven spots the day before.

My trainer said that prior to the competition I should apply it on Thursday night, apply again on Friday and touch up on Saturday. What was disconcerting is that he said I shouldn't bath. Sorry, but I'd rather be pale than stinky.

rsm- ive done the mystic tan and it did not turn me orange, i suppose that could vary depending on your skin type.
you just have to take your last shower on friday, its not that big of a deal only 24-36 hours lol. When your on stage your gonna wish you were stinky and tan.
