Does anyone know at which store I may be able to find dumbbells that are heavier than 50lbs.? Preferablly not online (since they cost a bitch and a half shipping-wise). Looking for a national chain, but if it's local to you, let me know anyway (might as well). Thanks much!

Take a look in newspapers in the classifieds.
Stores will charge anywhere from 50-90 cents per pound.
You should be able to get dumbells under 40 cents a pound
used.
Also make sure to get round ones, not hex.
Hex are cheap but often can dig into your chest with
the heavier weights.

Dick's Sporting Goods would probably have them also Dunhams. I don't know if you have those where you live so it depends.

Play-It-Again Sports sells hex dumbells and bodysolid equipment. They had thru 75lbs last time I was at mine. They can order stuff also and you just pick it up, they didn't charge me shipping for a rack I got. YMMV.

Dicks and also try Walmart for plates. If your local walmart has dumbell plates or hex dumbells they probably will be cheaper than anyone else's regular prices.

Where are you at in Maryland, town/city-wise? It's not a huge state, of course, but it's not one city block either.

I've never had that problem, not even with the 100s or 120s.

I go to Dick's or Dunham's on occasion. They may have to order anything above 85's, but they'll have them. Walmart usually stops around 50lbs from what I've seen.

Dicks has 100 pound hex dumbells where I am. I bet they can order the size you need.

Personally, I kinda like the hex ones too. Right now though, I've got a pair of the "Big Boy" DB handles from Iron Mind. They hold 10 plates on each side, and I have a bunch of 10s and 25s, so I can load them up. Works really nice with a set of Power Hooks.
