I'm thinking of building a home gym over the summer. I was thinking a basic squat rack where alot of lifts could be done would be good. Anyone have any ideas on what I should get and where to look? I don't want to spend a ton of money either. At home(where I don't go to school) the gyms are always packed from what I have heard, plus I could lift whenever I wanted.

What's your specific price range? The three most important things to get are a power rack (different from a squat rack), FID (flat incline decline) bench, and an olympic weight set. depending on your price range I'll try and help you find a suitable set up.

I'm not to sure. But the cheapest that I could go would be best. It doesn't have to be brand new equipment either.

You could look at craigslist for the equipment I listed above or look at a setup of 1. Powertec power rack, FID bench, and olympic weight set at SA or Dicks. Or 2. the same equipment but of the Powerline brand which is a bit cheaper but the Powertec is better quality. The first option is around $700-750 and the second option is around $500.
