I am competing in a contest on my college campus. I have a couple questions that might sounds stupid, but I gotta ask.

1. Would it be a good idea to hit the sauna before a contest? I have one at my disposal.

2. I also noticed that I look pretty good after I run. Should I go on a short jog before I pump up?

3. Has anyone used Xpel before. It says to drink a normal amount of water which I am hesitant to do.

4. The show doesn't start until 1 in the afternoon. Should I wake really late to look more dry?

1) No.
2) Dont run. Try to relax and keep off your feet. If you can keep your feet elevated.
3) Xpel is great and keep your water flowing. if you cut your water too soon you will retain it.
4) I would get up at a normal time and just try to relax.
Good luck

Expanding the answer to no. 1:

Do NOT hit the sauna. Yes it's water loss but you are much much more likely to get too dehydrated. It is one step too far.

how many days out should i start using Xpel?

Also, the reason I had considered jogging or waking up late is just to come in looking more dry. I usually wake up too early and I don't want to be waiting 5 or 6 hours before the contest starts. I thought that is why they had judging in the morning for the pros, but I will take your advice and just relax.

my final question might sound retarded, but whatever... has anyone tried to dilute hot stuff somehow? It works, but it turns my skin bright red.

Looking 'dry' has nothing to do with what time the contest is at or how late you wake up- the whole point of bbing is to being at your best for that 10min youre on stage, something that a lot of people cannot do. Coming in dry is a combination of being lean enough, dropping your water at the right time, along with carb or fat loading to pull the water that is under your skin into your muscles... Its a complicated process and has nothing to do with waking up late... The prejudge in the morning for the Pros is because the whole thing takes a long time- imagine if they started at 1pm in the afternoon??!! They wouldnt start the night show until midnight LOL

HotStuff is SUPPOSED to turn your skin bright red.... and you better make sure youre allowed to use it b/c a lot of ppl are actually allergic to it and at a lot of shows its banned.

A bath with epsom salt works a lot better than sauna just so you know.

With most of your herbal diuretics you need to start early. I am working with a figure competitor now and we started 10 days out at her last 2 shows. She dropped about 8 lbs of water each time. I used it last year and I'm glad I started early. In the past I have used taraxatone and Thermoshred but Xpel by far is the most effective.

If I have been using EC, should I split the caffeine pill and take the Xpel with the EC?

Also I was wondering if i should take EC the day of the contest. I usually take it in the morning as soon as I wake up and about 30 min before I lift. Do I take it 30 min before I pump up? Change to CY? or cut it out completely?
