Greetings everyone! I was selected to run an Incarnate Log by the good people at Palo Alto Labs. A little bit about me:

Age:42
Height:5'11
Weight:235lbs
Body Fat:~17-18%
Body Type:Endo-Meso

Lifting Experience: I've been lifting since I was 15 years old. Not so regular during my 30s, but back at it hard the past year.

Training Schedule: I workout everyother day, trying to follow the Dogg Crapp (DC) program. For those not familiar with it, here is a link: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/wotw53.htm

I have about an hour I can workout. Hitting each bodypart every 4th day works well for me. The DC program seems to work for me and I usually have 15 minutes to spend on the stationary bike after I'm done lifting.

Various injuries prevent me from doing all the lifts. I have a nagging left shoulder injury (rotator cuff) that prevents me from doing certain shoulder exercises and a bad hip that hopefully gets operated on this year prevents me from doing deadlifts, squats, etc.

MY GOALS: At 5'11, 235lbs, I'm not looking to get bigger. Infact, I'd like to lose some bodyfat and get to 220-225lbs (12-14% BF) while increasing my strength. With proper diet and regular workouts, I'm hoping Incarnate can do this along with supporting optimal joint, tendon and cartilage health.

SUPPLEMENTS: Besides Incarnate, I take Extend after each workout. I also take Anabolic Innovations Life Support/Cycle Support to control Cholesterol. I take Salmon Oil pills daily and that will be it. No other supplements will be taken.

I will chart my weight, strength, workout performance and anything else I seem to notice.

Just returned from a short family trip to D.C. to take in the sights, so I haven't been in the gym for 4 days. I hadn't tried Incarnate yet, so I did 3 doses of 2 caps to see how it effects me instead of 3 pre & post workout. Nothing negative to report at all. Next time up I'll take the recommended dosage.

The workout went well. I've only been doing the DoggCrapp training for 2 weeks. On this day, I did chest, triceps, back width, back thickness, abs & 15 minutes on the stationary bike. For tracking purposes, I'll monitor the weights/reps on the bench press. Typically, I bench with my hands about 18 inches apart. This is easier on my shoulders (right one has been repaired twice-rotator cuff). After warming up, I did 225lbs x 14 reps, 15 second rest, 3 more reps, 15 second rest, and then 2 more reps. I was shot after those intial 14 reps. Great pump, but I couldn't do anymore. The rest of the workout was similar.

Thoughts: Normally after workingout my chest, my shoulder hurts a little bit the next day, but today, it feels pretty good. I've had good luck with Cissus in the past, so I"m guessing the 20% Ketosterones in this has something to do with it. Good first day!

Day 2 was an off day, nothing exciting to report.

Today was Day 3 and also was a workout day. Took my 3 pills 45 min. prior to working out and hit the gym. Today, after thoroughly warming up, I did biceps, shoulders (upright rows), legs, forearms, calfs & abs. This took about 40 minutes then I moved on to the stationary bike that I rode for 15 minutes, half of which was HIIT at a pace of 20 seconds all out, 40 seconds normal. Had my heart rate up to 155-160 during this time and really was sweating good. Returned home, took 3 more pills & drank a glass of Extend.

Thoughts: I really felt good today working out and other then my hip, which is always sore, everything else felt good. My strength & stamina both were strong. Weight this a.m. was 235.5 I quit taking Creatine a week ago, thus my slow drop in weight. I have been in the 233-235lbs weight range, but 2 weeks ago I started taking creatine and I immediately blew up. It doesn't matter what Kind I take, I put on water weight and a week ago I was in the 243 range. It seems a lot of it goes to my gut and it's not a comfortable weight. I've tried all kinds of creatine and this is what happens. I have a container of M.A.N. Clout that I've used in the past Pre-workout that I really like, but if I drink it everyday, the weight goes on. I'm glad Incarnate doesn't have creatine in it.

Good night of sleep last night, shoulders feeling good, nothing negative to report. Tomorrow is Easter and it's an off-day. Back at it on Monday.

Day 4 was Easter and an off day.

Day 5, yesterday, was a workout day. Since it was Monday, I knew the Gym would be loaded, so I waited until 7:30pm to go. Took my usual dosage, 3 pre & 3 post. I'm still following the DoggCrapp training program, or atleast my version of it, so after a good warmup, I did the following:
Chest (Incline BP)
Lats (Pulldowns)
Back thickness (seated rowing)
Triceps (close grip bench press)
Abs
Cardio: 10 min. of HIIT on a stationary bike.

*I do shoulders (Upright rows) on Day 2.

Observations/thoughts: My workouts have been very good and consistant since I've been taking Incarnate. Also, my shoulders have felt MUCH better too. Sleep has been good and I can't find anything negative to report. It's still early into this log, but based on my workouts and the lack of shoulder pain, I'm very happy!

Tuesday was a scheduled off day, but Wednesday ended up being an off day too due to snow and playing Taxi with the kids. Last night was workout night and it was a good one. Maybe the body needed the extra day off?

I hit the gym and did biceps, shoulders, forearms, legs, calfs and 15 min. on the Stationary bike doing HIIT. The workout was very good.

Thoughts: Shoulders/joints feeling good. I do noticed that I tend to warmup or sweat much quicker after taking Incarnate and working out. Sleep has been good and weight is staying pretty consistant, right around 236 lbs.

I slept wrong about 10 days ago and my neck has been sore/stiff since. I went to see the Chiropractor on Tuesday for an adjustment. I hadn't seen him in a few months and as he's trying to "manipulate" me, he says "you've really put on a lot of muscle mass". That was good to hear!

Gotta love a Chiro Adjustment, feel so much better after. I did the same thing once and had a pinch in my neck to the point where I couldn't turn my head left at all... took me a week before I gave in and called the Chiro..what a relief!
Always good to hear a compliment from someone who hasnt seen you in a while too!

Nothing overly exciting to report at this time. Yesterday was a scheduled off day, today was chest, back, triceps, abs and a little HIIT on the stationary bike. I had a tough time getting going, so I spent a little extra time warming up. I'm still doing my version of the DoggCrapp training (sorry if I offend any of the DC purists out there).

Last time I did chest, I did Incline BP, so today was flat BP. After a lengthly warmup, I did 225x15 reps, rested about 15 seconds, did 3 reps on my next set, rested another 15 seconds, then did 2 more reps. Now that I've hit 15 reps of 225, I may move up to 235 next time I do flat BP. For lats/upper back, I did my seated pulldowns with a short bar, hands facing each other. 3 sets, 15 seconds of rest between sets. Next up was dips, same rest scenario, then on to lying t-bar rows. Finished up with some crunches then the stationary bike and some HIIT.

Overall, I struggled to get going initially during this workout. Once started, I was fine.

Shoulders are feeling good, strength is good, nothing negative to report.
Weight this a.m. was 235.5

Off till Monday.

Barely had time to squeeze in a quick workout yesterday, which was biceps, shoulders, forearms, legs & calfs. Also did ABS. The workout was good, short, but very intense.

Took 2 Incarnates pills first thing in the a.m., then did 3 before & after my workout. Didn't really notice anything differenet from taking 8 instead of 6.

My strength is good, getting better IMO and I'm eating well. Lots of water and I'm feeling good. My weight has been anywhere from 235-237.5 in the a.m.

I'm almost two weeks into this and based on what I've read, the Beta Alanine should be making it's presence known now. I know the Cissus in this is working, because my joints feel great. My workouts seem to be getting better everytime I lift and I feel stronger, so I think the BA is starting to have an effect. I think the next 2 weeks should be fun.

Off day today, back in the weightroom tomorrow.

Officially, I've been on this two weeks as of today.

Worked out last night with my 15 yr. old son, so I didn't follow the DC training. I did chest, back, triceps & abs. Decided to go a little heavier on the bench since I had a spotter so I worked my way up to 275lbs and managed 7 reps. The real test was today, when I got up. My left shoulder was a little tight/sore, but after taking a shower, it feels fine. Usually if I bench above 250lbs, my shoulder is quite sore the next day. Today it feels good, so I know the Cissus is working. The 7 reps @ 275 is a new personal best since I adjusted my grip. I used to bench with a wide grip, but that was too rough on the shoulders, so I've gone a lot narrower, maybe 18" between hands.

The rest of the workout went well too. I even managed some more dips which usually hurt to do. I did experience a bit of the "flush" at the begining of the workout, about 30 min. after taking my 3 pills. This hasn't happened yet.

Today is an off day and tomorrow I travel to Chicago to meet with an Orthopod who performs "hip resurfacing" surgery, a good alternative to Total Hip Replacement for younger (55 or less) adults. If any of you have a friend who has given up certain activities due to hip problems, like running, tennis, rugby, hockey, etc, they should check this procedure out, because most people who have had this done are able to return to these activities. I've had hip pain for 14 years now and I haven't been able to run since 1993. The early results are very encouraging and I hope to have this surgery performed on me.

Hmmm... i think I can help... if you are interested in Paravol, PM me... Ive got an extra one sitting here, waiting for an owner. Why not add it into the Log!!??

My first thoughts with your lowered libido would be one of three things.
Usually either an early sign of overtraining (but you said sleep is good, so doubtful), or that your diet might be too low on fats, or just overall calories. The third possibility is psychological as a result of stress or something else problematic, and can be the hardest to detect.

Hello Everyone-

Sorry about the delay in not posting the past few days, lots going on with hockey tryouts, waterpolo and general family "stuff". Still had time to get my workouts in and I'm really feeling good! The workouts have been great and I'm getting stronger in all my lifts. My stamina in the gym has also gotten better.

I had a doctor's appt. in Chicago last Friday regarding my hip condition. Long story short, I"m having surgery on May 24th. My log will end at this point, which will be around 7 weeks. The surgery will have me in the hospital for 2-3 days with a recovery period of 3-6 weeks before going back to work. Lower body workouts, which have been rather whimpy for about a decade, will be put on hold for a few months. Once my recovery is complete, I should be able to go to heavy leg workouts.

My goal now is to get myself in the best possible shape I can be in prior to surgery because I know the recovery will be that much easier the better shape I"m in. Any left over pills I have will be used in post recovery. I think the Cissus in Incarnate will really help in that regard and I'll likely buy some to keep me going. My goal is to workout 6 days and week and eat as healthy as possible for the next 30 days. I plan to push myself hard and I think Incarnate will really benefit me.

Thanks Palo Alto Labs for the bottle of paravol, it arrived yesterday and plan to try it soon.

edvanp-

Surgery sucks and rehab is a slow process, but great idea getting in your best shape before you go under the knife. I had elbow surgery 3 months ago, and its been the longest 3 months of my life. I only wish I could have anticipated it and had the time to prepare like you do. I finally finished up therapy last week, 3 months to go til 'heavy weights' but you have to do with what youre given.

Lets see what you can do by may 24th!!!! Now thats motivation!

Cant wait to hear how you like the paravol.... :)

Thanks for kind wishes. Elbow surgery? Ouch! Did you rupture a biceps tendon? I've had them both done (seperate occassions thankfully) and thats a painful process. I bet it took me close to 9 months before I really felt good again. Good luck to you in your recovery!

Palo Alto Labs

Luckily no, but I met a few guys in therapy who ruptured their bicep. I dislocated and fractured my elbow thanks to a lapse in common sense, required 1 metal plate and 3 screws to repair it. I was in a locked brace for 7 weeks which led to intensive therapy since the joints and muscles turned into concrete from being immobile for so long. 3 months and I have about 90% range of motion which is about the best I will get. Strength is damn good (better than i expected) but Im not allowed any strenuous weights for another 3 monts when i have a CT scan and final doc checkup.
I figure at least another 6 months until i have enough stability to cleanly bench press and other free-weight movements. Only time will tell!

Everything continues to go well! Tuesday I modified my workout a bit. I've done the Dogg Crapp training for a month and I really like it, but the next month I'm going to focus on my cardio a little bit more before having surgery. So while my son was taking a Tae Kwon Do class, I did a full body/circuit workout. For about 30 minutes, I moved from exercise to exercise with no rest inbetween. I worked up quite the sweat and the heart was beating good. I then did 20 minutes on the stationary bike to cap off my workout.

Wednesday was an off day and tonight I'll do the total body/circuit again.

I'm eating well, feeling good. I have to donate my own blood twice over the next three weeks, so I'm not sure how good some of these workouts will be, but we'll give it our best.

Just started taking Paravol yesterday. We'll see if it works it's magic :-)

3 week update. I think the Incarnate has kicked in now and each workout seems to be a little bit better then the last. I'm still doing a full-body circuit training workout everyother day. I'm really busting my a$$ going from lift to lift with little rest in between. It's almost an aerobic workout. By the time I'm done and I get on the stationary bike my HR is already around 115 bpm and I've got a good sweat going. I'll continue doing this up until my surgery, which is a little over 3 1/2 weeks. When I started this, my weight averaged around 235.5, now I'm averaging 237 in the morning and my t-shirts are tighter in the chest/shoulders/arms. My pants haven't changed in the waist, so I'm hopeful it's muscle and not fat I'm adding. I've eaten very clean/well, so I think it is.
Joints are feeling good, strength & stamina are solid, all things I contribute to Incarnate.

I'm donating my own blood on Monday then lifting Tuesday, so we'll see what kind of enery/stamina I have then.

I hope everyone had a good weekend!

I'm pleased with the Paravol, not sure my wife is LOL!

Another good workout last night. I was dragging during the day, but popped two Incarnates 40 min. prior to the workout and went at it. It was much better then I thought it would be after donating blood the day before. In my "circuit" workout, I've cut back on the poundage and am going a little more high rep, almost a bit aerobic. Anyway, for the bench, I warmup with 135, then move on to 185lbs and do as many as I can. Each workout I've been able to do 1 more rep then previous workout. Last night I did 23 reps. From there I move on to pullups, then incline Bench Press, seated rowing, etc. The workout, which has me hitting all bodyparts with 2-3 sets, lasts about 35 minutes. I then bike for about 25 minutes. I'll take today off and tomorrow go at it again.

I'm not a big fan of this type of workout, I enjoy lifting heavy weights, but my shoulder seems to like lighter weights. The Cissus in the Incarnate has helped a lot with the shoulder, but this feels even better.

FWIW, Blood Pressure was 118/76, so no issues there from taking Incarnate (not that I expected any).

Hello Everyone-

I took an extra day off (Sunday) and my body seemed to respond well to it. I had a very good workout last night (Monday). Knowing I would be back in the gym tonight while my son is doing taekwondo, I decided to do chest, shoulders & triceps (Tonight I'll blast back, legs & biceps). All the benches were taken, so my son & I started off with incline db presses. I worked my way up to a couple of sets of 100lbs x 10 reps. I had good strength the rest of the workout and today no soreness.

I'm doing carb cycling right now up to my surgery (following a plan by Twin Peak that I read on BB.com). I was 241lbs on Sunday, without a change in stomach or waist, but I feel I'm getting too heavy and too much carbs kill me. Yesterday, my carbs were very limited and I thought I'd struggle in the gym, but the Incarnate must have helped! I need to get under 230lbs and stay there. I feel so much more comfortable at the weight. I've tracked my weight & measurements over the past few years and it looks like I've added about 10lbs of LBM during the past year, going from around 189lbs of LBM to approx. 200lbs. That puts my current bodyfat around 17-18%, which is too high. If I can get back under 230lbs, that gets my bodyfat% in the 14-15% range. Ultimately, I'd like to be 225lbs with 12-13% bodyfat. Maybe I shouldn't be that concerned right now because I'll be off 3-4 weeks with no lifting with my surgery and I'm sure I'll lose some muscle mass. Still, anytime I approach 240lbs, I don't feel good.

Enough ranting! The Incarnate is doing a great job. I said I've added approx. 10lbs of LBM over the past year, if my stats are correct, I've added almost 3lbs since I've been taking Incarnate.

Another update tomorrow after my workout tonight.

edvanp

Weight: 235lbs

Low carbing has shed some extra weight, mostly water, but I'm down 6lbs from this weekend when I was 241 lbs (I actually weighed 246 Saturday afternoon-bloated). I really need to keep my carbs in check. I know this from past experience, but sometimes its so easy to load up on the carbs and my body doesn't react well to it at all.

Last night was back-biceps-legs & abs followed by 20 minutes on the stationary bike. The workout was very good. Strength, stamina all get a thumbs up! I tried to do some H.I.I.T. on the bike, but I couldn't, it hurt my hip too much, so I went at a medium pace for 20 min.

Today is an off day, with low carbs. Tomorrow will be a full-body circuit workout and a High Carb day. Friday I'm giving blood again, so that will be an off day too (low carb as well).

5 weeks in and I really like Incarnate. The workouts have all been solid, the recovery good and my joints feel good. My strength is up across the board and so is my stamina. This is certainly a product I will purchase when the trial ends!

Hello Everyone-

Did a total body workout, circuit style last night. I'm a bit sore today but I think that's because I worked out hard Mon/Tues and only had Wednesday off before working out the entire body on Thursday. I'm donating blood today and Saturday is an off-day, because of obligations, so instead of waiting until Sunday to workout, I pushed it up early and did it last night. My plans are to get back in the gym on Sunday.

Since I've been on Incarnate for 5 weeks now, here is how I would rate the following:
Mood - good!
Energy -improved
Appetite - no change
Libido - better with the paravol!
Endurance levels -improved
soreness (shoulders)- much improved

I should have a few weeks of Incarnate left once I have my surgery and I plan to start taking it again to see if it helps with my recovery. I believe I read that Cissus can help the recovery time with broken bones, torn ligaments, etc., so I'll take that and see if it does.

More updates on Monday, have a good weekend everyone!

Hello Everyone-

I had a very good workout on Sunday (weights only) and last night (Tuesday) I had a good workout. I have 3 more workouts before I take a few weeks off. Sunday I'll see where my strength is at, I'll try some max. lifts, hopefully hitting some PRs. The past two workouts have been total bodyworkouts and so will Thursdays workout.

I'm in the final week of my review of Incarnate. I'll write up a final review and my thoughts early next week.

Things continue to go well. Even though I've donated 2 pints of blood the past two weeks, my workouts/strength has been good. Final numbers coming soon!

Hello Everyone-

I had my final 2 workouts while using incarnate, one on Thursday and the last one on yesterday (Sunday).

Yesterday's workout was a max day. I haven't tried to max in quite some time and the majority of my workouts the past 2 months have been total body, 2-3 sets per execise, high reps, so I really didn't know what to expect. The Bench Press has been my benchmark for strength and I was able to do 315lbs for 3 reps. That's one rep better then I did earlier this year, so that certainly is a positive. I also decided to see what my back strength is so I tested it on the Lying T-Bar row. Previous best was 4 reps with 3 plates (45s) and yesterday I did 6 reps with 3 plates, so improvement there.
Final review, thoughts to come later today.

Incarnate Final Review.

I ran a 6 1/2 week log on Palo Alto Labs INCARNATE. I took no other supplements during this time other then my morning protein shake with Cycle Support and "Xtend" which was my PWO drink. I've taken these for a few months, so the only new supplement was Incarnate. My thoughts and observations:

WEIGHT. I was 235lbs when I started this and I'm 238.5lbs now. My waist & belly have actually gone down a little and my arms/chest/shoulders have gone up. According to my measurements, my Body fat dropped from 16.1% to 15.7%, so I've lost some fat and added some muscle. My diet was pretty clean and didn't really change from start to finish.

STRENGTH My strength improved even though that wasn't my goal. I switched my routine to an all body/circuit style program. After starting my log, I found out I needed to have surgery (thus the reason my log is 6 1/2 weeks and not 8 weeks) so I decided to focus on overall fitness. I also included a lot time on the stationary bike. When I tested my max's at the conclusion of the log, my strength had improved in the bench and the lying t-bar rows.

ENDURANCE I didn't notice much change in this for the first week or two, but then after that it became apparent I could go pretty hard with less time between lifts.

RECOVERY I have shoulders that nag me after I lift. The Cissus in this product really helped in this area. I went hard and often time with only 2 days between workouts and my joints felt good.

SIDE EFFECTS. None!

FINAL THOUGHTS: This is a very good supplement. Whether you are cutting, bulking or just working on your overall fitness, I think this is an excellent choice. For those looking to bulk or add strength, I think Incarnate & a good creatine would be a great combo. I will certainly purchase more of this product once I run out and I plan to take the rest of this once my surgery is performed to help with the recovery time.

Thanks once again to Palo Alto Labs for selecting me to test Incarnate. It's a very good supplement that I strongly recommend.

Thanks guys!

I had my surgery a week ago and have a nice 10inch scar along with 31 staples. All went well and now it's just a matter of recovering. I started taking the incarnate a few days ago, thinking the Cissus in it will help with the recovery, and I feel a lot better! I'm having blood drawn twice a week and the tests show nothing negative. Thanks again!
