Hi. My sister has been inspired to someday compete in a Fitness show. I think a spark was set off when she saw me competing at my last show. She is 15 years old (I'm 18), 5'8 and about 130 pounds. Although I am a bodybuilder, I'm not the best at judging a womens physique. Right now she is on a 3-day split, working:

Legs

Biceps/Back

Chest/Triceps/Shoulders

I've put her on a very clean diet consisting of high protein, moderate carbs, and low fat. She is allowed one cheat a week, and she seems to be putting on lean muscle mass each week.

To be honest, I think she needs at least a year to be in any condition to compete, but I'd like some other opinions from you ladies.

Here is a picture of my sister and I........ try your best to judge her physique from this.

Thanks.

As you probably know, it generally takes a good couple of years of training to be ready for competition. Added to the fact that your sister is only young and will not have finished growing yet, I would advise her to keep working hard, and look towards competing once she is 18......

She's a really pretty girl, but still very thin - judging by that photo she still has not reached her adult body weight (most girls gain extra hips and boobs at 16-18). Make sure you have her on plenty of calories, I would suggest at least 2,000!

One thing she CAN start working on is the compulsory moves for fitness..... unless she has a gymnastics background, those sorts of moves can take a long time to get down and she has age and flexibility on her side there!

Can't judge from that pic, but she is pretty and appears to have good shape. Needs lots more muscle of course. Read my article on fitness modeling, etc also: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/willbrink6.htm

Very good advice, I agree that 18 should be her goal to start competing. She has a background in gymastics (about 4 years) and cheerleading, so she should be good at the compulsories.

Does anyone know of a good web site that outlines the compulsory moves for fitness competitors?

look in the post pic section there are pics of a girl 123 who competes adn she looks awesome... i think your sis should set short term goals and reassess after each shorter period... as said before she is prob still growing...

your looking pretty good yourself...
