First of all, I would like to thank PT, the "high council" and Controlled Labs for giving me this fabulous opportunity!!!
A little about this thread:
Q: Who the hell is BJ?
A: That's me, you tool.
Q: What the hell is this thread about?
A: It's about me logging the newly improved flavor of the Purple Wraath and also me logging my cut.
Q: What the hell is Purple Wraath?
A: Read above, moron.
Q: Why should I continue reading this?
A: Because I said so, plus this will get interesting. I'm cutting for the first time in my life and I'm very serious about this. I've always carried medium to high amount of fat on my body and I want to strip a lot of it off before I head off to work on my Ph.D. at the University of Buffalo in the fall.
Q: So tell me about yourself.
A: I don't mind if I do. I was born near Phoenix, AZ and raised unhealthy with chips, pop, and other crap food all around the house. I used to spend all my younger days either stuffing my face with chips and pop or I'd be outside playing football in the streets with my buddies. Upon the death of my father when I was 12, I moved out here to Ohio to live with his family and most of whom I've never met. They all have a country-type of attitude about food and stuff like not eating crap and not going out to restaurants.
I decided to play football and that really helped me as far as helping me get into shape. Despite my "getting into shape," I still was a fat bastard in high school. I lost a ton of weight my senior year in the spring (250@25% to 213@15% with the help of ephedra), and was committed to a school for college football. I ended up bulking somewhat in the summer and got faster (I used to run 4.8 40-yard when I was 250@25%). My 2nd year after I was sat, I got to about 225 and hit a 4.42 40 and they let me be the RB. I graduated at 245 with roughly the same speed.
I then realized this past winter I was eating around 1500cals per day but still gaining some strength. I wanted to do a cut, but I knew I couldn't cut at 1500cals per day, so I thought it would be a great idea to "bulk" at roughly 3500cals a day for awhile to get my body used to the calories so I could then go on this cut. I grew A LOT during the past three months or so, however, I also gained a lot of strength with this bulk. I am quite happy with it, but I want to finally ditch this bodyfat and bulk from there.
Q: So does this mean I get to look at you in your boxers?
A: I don't have a camera (I don't really see a purpose for one) so no. And get lost you horny pervert.

About me (as posted from my application and some other stuff):
Age: 23

Height: 5'9"

Weight: 261 (a hair dated as the scale in the gym is broked like the search button seems to be for noobs :D)

Bodytype: Meso

Training experience: Well I started in the winter of 97/98 when I was entering my freshman year for football. We lifted around a BFS type of schedule where we did 3x3, 5x5, 10-8-6-4(-2), 5-4-3-2-1-1-etc on rotating weeks. This is how I lifted all throughout high school and upon attending college for football, we also lifted like this. So for about 8-9 years, I lifted primarily on this schedule. After that, I've been tried a brief stint of a 5x5 workout and hated it. I also tried a variant of the Body for Life workout (workouts split into upper and lower body days) and I too hated it. Then I settled into my own variation of the Max-OT program about a year ago and have been doing it ever since. I've been thinking about trying the Westside barbell system, but I will stick on my Max-OT if I get chosen to test for this.

Current Training Schedule / Protocol: I don't have set days when I hit the gym but I pretty much go as I see and if I'm still sore then my workout will just be delayed for a day. For each workout, I aim for 4-6 reps but sometimes I get as high as 10 or 15 for something like shrugs or calves. Currently my days look like this:
Day one: Legs:
Squats
Leg presses
Leg extensions or front squats (not very good at these)
Lying leg curls
SLDL
Standing leg curls, glute ham raises, or lunges
Seated calf raises
Standing calf raises
Calf presses on leg press machine

Day two: Chest
Bench (barbell or dumbbell)
Decline (barbell or dumbbell)
Incline (barbell or dumbbell)
Pec-deck
Flyes (incline or flat)

Day three: Back and traps:
Back (three of the following):
Wide-grip pulldowns
Narrow-grip pulldowns
Reverse-grip pulldowns
V-bar pulldowns
V-bar seated rows
"Medium" grip seated rows
Reverse-grip seated rows
"Eagle rows" (that machine thing with the big pad in your chest)
Bent over barbell rows
Bent over dumbell rows

Lower Back:
Deads
Good mornings (seated or standing)

Usually back and traps again and/or some sets of shoulders or chest depending on how I feel.

Cardio Schedule/Protocol:
I'm running or biking three times a week at 25 minute intervals of medium to high intensity. I plan on expanding it up to six or seven days at 45 minute intervals within the next two weeks. Also incorporating HIIT.

Current supplements:
Vitamin Depot Multi for morning and night and GNC Megaman for preworkout.
GNC Vitamin C
Swanson Calcium Citrate

GNC creatine mono for off days and Universal Storm for on days

Dymatize Elite Whey Choc Mint

Current Diet and macros (as much detail as possible):
TKD; 63% fat, 35% protein, 2% carbs. Right now, I'm on roughly 3200cals per day and weaning down to 2700cals per day.

Current Daily water intake:
1.5-2.5 gallons per day (the lower volumes are when I'm at school the most on Mondays and Wednesdays and all I have is the gayass water fountain)

Short Term Goal:
Cut to 8% bf while trying to maintain as my muscle as possible.

Long Term Goal:
Hit 280 at 10% and compete in strogman events, namely WSM.

Supplement history:
This is where it gets hazy. I've always taken a multi, calcium, protein, and creatine since my sophomore year in HS (spring/summer 99). Along the way, I've taken the following:
Andro, DHEA, M1T, Equibolan, Test 250, Fizogen On-cycle (original formula), Methyl Dien, 1-AD, 4-AD, JW, SNS Methyl-Drol XT, EC stack, Hot Rox, Nutrex Lipo-6, AX PCT, Vitamin C, ALA, NAC, L-glutamine, L-arginine, L-carnitine, bulk CEE, various MRPs, and probably some other stuff I can't remember.

Upon initial tasting of the V3 Wraath, I felt it was too sweet (coming from a dude that thinks BBQ sauce is too sweet). I tossed one scoop in with about 24oz. water and chugged it down, washed down the sides twice with a few ounces of water, and bottoms up. The flavor is very memorable to those purple sweet tarts though. After about 10 minutes, I had extreme tingling (took with no food) throughout my whole body. When I was working on my pulldowns, I had this real sharp pain associated with the tingling in the middle of a pulldown and I almost lost it, but I stuck with it.
As for the format of this log, feel free to make suggestions to me about it. But I think at night after my last meal, I will post my diet for the day, macro splits, and supps taken.

Subbed for sure... I get that "tingling" sensation with my WF/PW stack and always chalked it up to bieng the WF. Hmm maybe it is the PW but I am unsure as to why an EAA mixture would cause that? I thought it was the energizer WF that was "stimulating" me. Never got pains from it though just the euphoric tingle lol.

It is the Beta-alanine in both products, not the EAA.

glad you enjoyed the taste. yeah, if you dont like candy then you may think its too sweet, in that case just add more water.

Hahha, thanks! My GMs suck really really bad, but I'm working on my form right now. Plus I do those seated (I probably should have noted that) and it seems a lot harder doing them seated than standing.

The "high council" was WAY better than my Matrix ref. It just hit me one day thinking about that and I thought blue and red make purple so that would be a good line for my log.

Okay, so on to todays diet:
Waking at 5:50- 2 CL Red Acid Gen2

Meal 1:
6:45AM (earlier than normal because I had court this morning)- 6 XL eggs, two pieces of colby cheese and a handful of spinach. 1 XF, 1 ABC Plus, 500mg VitC, 315mg Calcium Citrate

Meal 2:
10:45AM (after court)- 3 pieces of pepper jack cheese, 1oz. almonds, and 1 scoop Dymatize Chocolate Mint Whey in water. 2 XF, 1 Megaman, 500mg VitC, 315mg Calcium Citrate, 1 scoop Storm.

11:15AM- 2 CL Red Acid Gen2

11:30AM- 1 scoop PWv3!

*Workout*

1ish- 30g Kwik Karb

1:20ish- 1.25 scoops Dymatize Chocolate Mint in water.

2:25PM- 6 eggs XL eggs, 2 pieces of pepper jack cheese, and a handful of spinach.

5:45PM- 6oz (1 can) tuna, 2tbsp Caesar dressing, 3 pieces of turkey bacon, a handful of spinach, and a piece of colby jack cheese.

Total fat grams: 219g

Total carbs: 42.1g
Total percent splits: 61.4% fat, 37.1% protein, 1.5% carbs

My eating schedule was all messed up today because of court and I didn't plan well for it. I'm already about to pass out from my GABA, but overall that's a pretty normal day of what I eat, day in and day out. I'm kinda pissed because I'm 2% over in my protein category, so I need to scale that down a little bit.

I wont deny it. I'm guilty as charged, but I pleaded not guilty because my charges can be lessened or even aquitted. I got a DUI, blew a .082 (legal limit = .080) and I had not drank in over 4 hours so I thought I was good to go. Damn headlight was out!! This happened 2/23, so I'm able to get special driving privleges back on Monday if my lawyer isn't a douche, but shhhhh, I've been driving ever since the day after I was cuffed and stuffed. Two things on my side though: 1. the cop didn't give me a field sobriety test with another cop present therefore his whole basis can be faulty. 2. the cop denied me getting a blood test though I requested it. I just found out that if I request it, he has to do it. Most likely though, this will turn into a he said, she said battle and the cop will win, of course. So lastly, I can bank on standard deviations and calibrations for the instrument used to test my breath. They have to log everything and if no logs were kept, thats grounds for aquittal. Fingers are crossed!

Here's a question I pose to you; I have to work tomorrow night from 8PM to about 4AM with NO EFFIN BREAKS! What should I do before work? Eat a normal meal and just die until 4 or should I do a double-meal? I may add a THIRD dose of Red Acid unless the generals of CL advise otherwise.

Well I defintely wouldn't double-meal, because that is not gonna help you, because your body is not going to be able to digest all the good ****, the way it would if you separated them. What kind of job are you working to where you can't eat? Other than that I would at least try to grab some meal replacement protein bars, shaker with protein powder, and maybe bag up some quick snacks.

First off, I hate holidays, especially stupid ones, like.... all of them. For example, today we are celebrating something that TWO people believe they saw their relative rise from the dead. What kind of acid trip is that? And how about jesus himself? The dude walked around raving he was the son of god; he's lucky he wasn't killed earlier... Well, enough of my religious preaching today, ONWARD!
I was feeling a little bogged down but that was probably due to me not going to bed till almost 6am and waking up at around noon. Right now though, I feel like a million bucks! I also decided to try 1.5 scoops of PWv3, but I took it with food today because my partner had to go to work soon and I didn't wake up early enough to plan things ahead. I'm still making progress though, which is weird. Anyway I'm hoping to drop to 2950ish calories by tomorrow. I may do a little bit of cheating today but with no carbs or with carbs and low fat as a mini-carb up type of thing since I don't carb up before workouts. Since I have myself a little bit of cash, I'm probably gonna get a decent scale so I can at least have some idea of what I weigh or a frame of reference of weight lost or gained.

Boobies

Okay, so my training partner works night shift the past week including last night and I have to work late tonight for the Chevelle and Finger 11 show. So I decided to go to the gym by myself and it's one of the first times I've done chest by myself. And with that, I decided to go with a little volume training as I couldn't really go too heavy.

Dumbbell flat bench: 180x9, 175x8, 175x7, 175x5, 170x5
Dumbbell decline bench: 180x9, 175x9, 175x9, 175x8, 175x7
Dumbbell incline bench: 150x7, 150x6, 145x7, 145x6, 145x5
Pec deck machine thing: 200 (max weight)x12, 200x12, 200x11, 200x10, 200x8
Incline flyes: 65x8, 65x8, 65x8, 65x7, 65x5

Today was kind of rough in the gym as I didn't have a spotter or anything, just some old chick on the treadmill. I really had to struggle to get the last few inches of the dumbbells up when benching so that took a lot out of me which might have otherwise kept me in a higher rep range. I normally don't get a spot unless I'm struggling and my partner just slightly picks up the bar with his index finger(s) and that usually gets me going if I'm stuck. This was the first time I have done something like this and I felt it was pretty good, but I'll revert back to my Max-OT type of workouts as long as my partner is around for chest and shoulder days.

our gym is full of estrogenic metrosexuals. they tends to use 30lbs/40lbs DBs so we have 3 or 4 sets of these numbers. 15/20/25lbs are the popular ones too.

Kinda but I've always been a medium to high bodyfat person my whole life. So I have this thought in my head that IF and only IF my diet rocks balls and gets me to the sub 8% region then I may try to get it as low as possible to see how things roll. Then if I can keep up at it, I may. BBing is awesome and all, but mainly powerlifting is my love.

SLDL: 535x12, 555x11, 575x10 (still adjusting to the weights with these)

Alright, first of all, my last set of seated raises I got buried but I had it almost all the way up on that resting thingy. Anyway, I had to drop it and unload a few plates while it was on the ground, rerack it, and you know the rest. The only reason I did leg extensions today is because some old man was using the leg press and BSing with some other aholes and it really pissed me off. I hate using that stupid machine because it only goes to 300. As for my hammys, I kinda hate using the leg curl machine too, but I just keep my resting between sets pretty short to get any sort of workout from it.
Today was also my first time actually doing front squats and keeping track of them. 135 was pretty easy and so was 225. 275 was okay and I thought I'd try 315 for my last set until I about choked to death on my first to reps as the bar right up against my neck. So I decided to roll it forward a little and it didn't want to stay on my shoulders after each set, so I said screw it and went back to 275.
Lastly, note my standing raises; we don't actually have a standing calf raise machine so us at the gym (mainly myself) use this wood piece that's made of a few 2"x4"s nailed together to make it about a 6" rise from the ground. Anyway, my calves felt REAL strong today. I usually start with the last week's numbers but I cranked out almost 4 more reps on each set so that's why my calf reps are so high.
It has been weird in my gym the past few weeks, I'm starting to see more and more people do legs and deads. I've gone from NEVER seeing anyway doing deads in my gym except myself to four people plus myself have done deads in the past few weeks. I've also gone from seeing one person plus myself doing squats to now seven people doing squats; three of which did box squats to not even close to parallel (RONNIE COLEMAN STYLE, maybe higher). Now how long this lasts of people doing deads and legs, I do not know.

Okay, so you may see that I haven't done reverse-grip bench in awhile so I was just getting used to the weight and the motion of it thus the large volume of that workout. Reverse dips (at least what I call them) are when you have your legs up on a bench and your hands on a bench behind you, lower yourself push up yourself. I did these with a 100-lb plate lying on my lap. On my very last rep of these, my arms just wouldn't completely lock out so I dumped the weight off my lap and called it. But all in all, it was a really good arm workout today! My arms were about to explode again this week!

I have no hunger whatsoever except for when I come back from the gym, I susupect it's the Red Acid. Anyway, I have to be up at school tomorrow at roughly 9AM to get a TON of research done. I didn't realize I was THAT far behind so I think I'll be there tomorrow till I have to head up to the bar to work. I may even head up to school on Sunday to try to catch up. I don't know if I'll be at the gym tomorrow, but we'll see.

According to Eileen, the keto queen imo, she says you don't need to carb up at all. However, a TKD is carbs PWO and preworkout; I just do carbs PWO, that's why I do an occasional carb up.

I'm enjoying the change to TKD too. I've been eating all kinds of stuff I haven't even looked at in a long time (bacon, butter, tons of cheese, etc).

I haven't had the need to carb up at all, muscles have been full and pumped from just PWO carbs. Thanks to BJ for pointing out in my log that carbing up is unnecessary.

I've noticed with each increasing minute of HIIT, it exponentially sucks more balls. Last night at work REALLY sucked because we were flying through liquor like crazy, there was a huge fight involving bottles in front of my bar (which I had to regulate some ass), and I didn't get outta there till roughly 4:45. Fortunately, we ran out of Red Bull at 10ish and they made me go get more at the store, so I sat in my car and took a little lunch break :D
As for that fight, our one bartender was flipping out because security was no where to be seen so he yells at me to go stop it. So I decided to be dramatic, jump the bar (the red sea then parted and I had a direct path to both parties), and tackle both mofos at a nice running start. It was so nice to tackle someone because I haven't played defense or scout team defense in years. Then both dudes are trying to punch me while I'm on top of them but only one dude connected, so he felt the WRAATH of BJ just for a second before security finally rescued the man from me.
Aside from that, work was pretty normal...

Today I felt horribly weak going into the gym but probably because I only ate once before hitting the gym. My military was definitely off and I didn't think I could handle 290 this week, so I just stayed at 285 for my last set. However, I managed to crank out higher reps on the other lifts with the same weights from last week, so that's good. I guess there may just something wrong with my military.
Side note: I forgot to post seated bent over raises last week, but this was the weight I did last week with a few less reps from what I remember.

When it comes to lateral raises, my arms are slightly bent maybe 5degrees from lockout.
As for military, behind the head press, and standing presses, I always put my pinky finger on the "bare" strip on the bar (the little part that doesn't have the grip on it) near the end if you have the 7' olympic type of bars over there. So I don't know if that is considered wide grip or normal grip. Everyone I've known that does military presses always has their hands about that wide.

Okay, sorry about not posting this earlier, but I was dead by the time I had my last meal and I didn't think to calculate the crap before going to bed. I'm at school right now without my excel spreadsheet for my daily cals and stuff so I will edit this when I get home tonight after the gym. Obviously, I didn't have time for a 6th meal, so my calories are going to be rather low from yesterday. Today (day 12), I've noticed an increase in appetite, probably stemming from the low amount of calories ingested from yesterday.
For any of you that are slightly interested in politics, there's an EXTREMELY well directed and filmed show on PBS throughout this whole week about the Iraq deal, US's stance in the world politically from it, and other stuff from 9-11PM with each evening's show being supposedly different. I'm not one to watch TV, but this is definitely a show worth catching.

He always wants to sit and BS and mess around in the gym, but he says he only goes to the gym for something to do, not to get cut or bulk up or anything. It's a shame because he has some strength, he just doesn't want to get big or get even more cut as he's probably at 10% right now. What's funny is his diet consists of beer, hot dogs, McDonalds, Wendy's, slim jims, pop, and candy bars.
But back on topic to talk about ME, I tossed two scoops of PW into the deal and it was surprising that the taste wasn't that much stronger, but it was still quite obvious that I put in more than normal. Also, those little chunks reappeared, but I didn't have time to do my normal routine, so I think I'm going to try that tomorrow because I will be here (at school) late tonight working on the Epistane and Havoc "research". I'll post my diet in a few once I remember what I had and when I had it, but I can't post cals again like the last time.

I go to bed right after I eat, usually. If I don't go to bed right after, then I will usually have my GABA later. Therefore, wherever you see me chug my GABA, that's when I go to bed, roughly.

No maam, I'm cutting. As for everyone else, I didn't post anything last night because I have a big horrible test tonight. Nothing exciting happened anyway; it was a full day off with not HIIT or lifting. Tonight might be legs if I'm not too tired. I only slept about 3-3.5 hours last night.

Meh, it's not that important, but depending on what you or he figures as an activity rating (between 1.0 to 2.0, I'll just say 1.5), the cals he should need to bulk is 3183cals per day. The more the strength, the more the protein I would add, but that's just how I roll.

Sabertooth was my favorite when I was young and into comics.
As for the rest time, tonight was fast, around 60-90 seconds. Normally, I go about 90-180 seconds rest. Tonight I was by myself so I can go quicker and I don't have to wait for my partner, change weights, listen to him talk, etc.

Actually, it's looking well, but weird at the same time. I'm now beginning to notice that my left trap is bigger than my right trap (loss in bf?). However, everything else on my right side is bigger and/or more developed except for my quads, they are equal. I'm definitely buying my ass a scale either this coming week or the following week as we get paid NEXT Saturday. I REALLY can't wait to see what I'm holding down as.
Side note (or "Auxillary Intel" as Em puts it): There were a bunch of HOGS at the bar tonight. I think I saw six or seven dudes packing at least 20s on their arms :eek: and quite a few dudes of sub-20's but maybe in the 18 range. And, of course, the dudes were hefty in general.

My tris were REALLY strong today! It felt like I could have done 100 of those reverse dips! Also, I think I have my first ever pumps in my tris. I get pumps in my bis all the time, but never tris. Although my bis were a little down today :( I'm still happy about my tricep lifts.
Lastly, I finally tried what PT has recommended about WMS/KK with protein directly after the gym. First of all, a side note: my recent batch of Dymatize isn't as minty. Okay, well when I took my KK with my Dymatize choc mint, it tasted like choc pb, more like a reeses pb cup but not as sweet and a lot more of a chalky texture. It was odd, to say the least.

Yesterday's diet and sshhhhHIIT

7:30AM - 2 CL Red Acid Gen2

Meal 1:
8AM - 1 turkey burger, 1 piece of colby jack, 4 pieces of turkey bacon, and .25oz almonds. 1 XF, 1 ABC Plus, 500mg VitC, and 315mg Calcium Citrate.

Meal 2:
11:10AM - 1 piece of colby jack, 2 pieces of turkey bacon, 1oz almonds, and .5 scoop Dymatize Chocolate Mint in water. 1 XF.

1:40PM - 2 CL Red Acid Gen2

Meal 3:
2:10PM - 1 brat, 2 pieces of turkey bacon, and .75 scoop Dymatize Chocolate Mint in water.

Meal 4:
5PM - 1 turkey burger, 1 piece of colby jack, 4 pieces of turkey bacon, and .25oz almonds.

Meal 5:
7:30PM - 4L eggs, 1 piece of colby jack, 2 pieces of turkey bacon, and a handful of spinach. 1 XF, 1 Megaman, 500mg VitC, and 315mg Calcium Citrate.

8:15PM - 2 scoops PWv3

8:30PM - 7 minutes HIIT (EFFING SUCKS BY THE WAY!)

8:45PM - 30g Kwik Karb

9:05PM - 1.25 scoop Dymatize Chocolate Mint

Well, after busting my ass on those two take-home tests the past two days, I have ANOTHER one assigned in the class I just turned in the one. This one is due NEXT Friday PLUS our final is the following Wednesday. Along with that, the other take-home test I had due today, we have a test in there a week from today AND our final is a week from that! This is beginning to get rediculous! I seriously can't wait to get outta here. If it seems like I haven't made my way to the gym recently, that's true, I haven't. But tomorrow is my return with shoulders, this will be fun!!!
PS- I REALLY REALLY hate take-home test. I need to take my mind off school and put it on, perhaps, Ms. Bennett :D

VERY assistive. Normally, no supplements work on me, but this stuff does. Some people say it does nothing and hey, whatever. When I take it, about 20 minutes later my body kind of gets heavy and this weird, warming sensation feeling comes over me (especially in my brain) and I can feel my pulse. At this point, I'm usually eyes shut and attempting sleep, but if not, then I know this is a good time to do so.
