I'll be covering this in my final review. I strayed from the "science" discussion for one reason: I don't want people knowing what I'm researching. There are too many copycat artists out there and accidentally divulging any theories of my own might put money in someone else's pocket. :)
Rob^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

How come there's not a whole of discussion happening?

 seriously i should send you some money to get some for me

Aye. Did you see where he went on the "How much do you spend on supps" thread? There will be consequences and reprocussions.

des, are you using the slow tempo 226 or 626 for your workouts?

nice to know that I am not the only drinking coffee preWO or cardio. :)

I'm not sure....I do the reps slow and only take enough time to catch my breath between sets. I don't overthink it too much these days.

I just do the negs slow, while the positive rep is in control but not slow. thoughts?

It depends. On pressing movement I try to be explosive on the concentric and controlled on the eccentric. On pulling movements, I'm controlled on both directions.

This son of a bitch was caught by his father ****ing a pie in his home. This disgraces not only suburban America, but also the entire pastry industry as well. Frankly, I'm thinking of going to Little Debbie headquarters and protesting the fact they let a human stick his cock in something which personifies the warm American spirit. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cats are very cool but to really bring out their personalities you have to spend a ton of time with them. Dogs are a bit easier in that department.

That Alaskan thing is cute; never seen one of those before. I like Cresteds for the novelty, but only if I can color its hair and name it Skinderella. Personally, I usually go for the more macho looking dogs like Boxers, Bulldogs and Mastiffs. Pugs are like mini real dogs.

If Danny and I end up living together I have a feeling I'd be the one doing all the feeding/walking considering how much I end up cleaning up after him when he's here, so I think I should get a vote. There will be some serious disorder if I have to take care of 2 cats, a dog and a man.

I kinda doubt that she'll know for sure if its alaskan klee kai or a mix of pomeranian and chihuahua, lol, coz she didn't actually bought as it was a gift. It looks exactly like that one though, just a bit more furry and brown in color. :D

 Impressive workout Des.

I followed your chest routine yesterday, as did Kurt, and must say it was incredible. I think I will employ this technique for back today.

Do you experience a euphoric effect in the hours after working out (in this style)? I'm always happy after a good workout, but yesterday I was in an incredible mood for no apparent reason.

Also, do you think this method is fine to do with BCAAs during, with carbs/pro after, or should glycogen supercompensation be used in this instance if possible?

The high you experience was probably a huge endorphin (beta-endorphin to be extact). release. I don't get these much anymore because I guess I'm used to the effect. Essentially these are opioid neuropeptides which is released after great stress and cause a huge dopamine cascade.

Its safer than crack and cheaper than weed. ;)

I should have mentioned to get the full benefit of workouts like these you do need to be injesting a carb source while working out. This is why SizeON (I'm not trying to pimp) works extremely well for this type of training. You can use something as simple as gatorade mixed with BCAA's or something advanced like SizeON.

I figured it had to do with endorphins, so there is just a greater release dependant on the intensity/stress level?

You don't have to sell me on SizeOn, I am already a huge fan. And it obviously makes a lot of sense in this situation.

I think I will just add some malto to my bcaas if I do this again, but I'll probably wait to utilize the technique more often when I'm taking in more calories, and I'm sure I'll pick up SO then :p

The high you experience was probably a huge endorphin (beta-endorphin to be extact). release. I don't get these much anymore because I guess I'm used to the effect. Essentially these are opioid neuropeptides which is released after great stress and cause a huge dopamine cascade.

Its safer than crack and cheaper than weed. ;)

I recall reading something about a researcher, or a team of researchers trying to demonstrate that endorphins are purely for pain numbing, and a different peptide is released to cause the euphoria. I've not been able to re-find it though unfortunately.

Care to elaborate on what this exercise is?

Normal dumbell rows meant for your back typically have the humerous in the perpendicular plane to your shoulder girdle and parallel to your vertebrae. This row variation has your humerous perpendicular to your vertebrae and in-line with your shoulder girdle.

This really nails the rhomboids, lower trapezius, and posterior deltoids.

In an act of pure unselfishness, i'm going to recommend some, which others can feelf ree to add to, so crack open whatever you use for downloading and grab:

That Alaskan thing is cute; never seen one of those before. I like Cresteds for the novelty, but only if I can color its hair and name it Skinderella. Personally, I usually go for the more macho looking dogs like Boxers, Bulldogs and Mastiffs. Pugs are like mini real dogs.

If Danny and I end up living together I have a feeling I'd be the one doing all the feeding/walking considering how much I end up cleaning up after him when he's here, so I think I should get a vote. There will be some serious disorder if I have to take care of 2 cats, a dog and a man.

how much are these impressive glasses cost?

e.g. in S'pore these glasses would cost an estimated average price USD200 nett.

oakleys or rayban can cost more than USD200 bucks. I know some Oakleys cost about USD400 freakin bucks.

I won't pay that much for a pair of glasses but approximately 30sessions of thail massages in bangkok sure worth the deal for USD400bucks.

Depends on what model, etc. Those Ray Bans I posted cost around $120ish.

this thread saddens me. I had my beautiful dior sunnies stolen/lost. It took me about 3 days to get over it coz they were new as well.

For some reason I don't think rayban's are that cool here, too decadish.. so good choice with yours :D

Same thing happened to my Versace shades. :(

Rayban aviators will never go out of style.

Mr Cornell is a living legend. Drove up to see him in Toronto back in April, the second time I've seen him solo (also seen once with Soundgarden, twice with Audioslave,) and of the 100+ concerts I've been to in my lifetime I'd rank it in the top 5.

Des, what do you consider real music; acoustic classic guitar? BLS and John Mayer are a little bit different, except in those vids....
That's all good **** btw, I like stripped down music too.

That's not acoustic classical guitar. Its being able to connect with an intrument whatever it may be, your voice, your guitar, etc and create a song which has the ability to ellicit both interest and emotion to your audience. Today's MTV pop culture while entertaining has certainly lowered the bar when it comes to music/art appreciation.

You are young...when you get as old as Ness I'm sure it will be up to 90lbs at least. :) I think I started with 50's around 16 and can now rep 130's with ease on an incline. :)

lol i can go higher, i was only kidding :)

I want to see you in the gym throwing around weight that that Neanderthal Branch trains with.

Some of those guys were playing classically. Anyway, I agree on the MTV type of **** out there. Songs that have meaning with their lyrics have mostly disappeared to the "underground" which is fine with my because I love "underground" music.

Classical music refers to the period of time between Bach and Beethoven technically, but the composition definition lies within the musical notation. These guys you might think are playing classical are actually playing a style called "heavy wood" denoted by Don Ross a few years back. Its a progressive acoustic guitar movement with heavy influence from John McLaughlin, Leo Kottke, etc.

I've been to the superclubs in England, Japan, Acapulco, and pretty much everywhere in the US. I'm trying to get Gaspari to sponsor an after party at one of the major shows this year or next but we'll see how that goes. :D

I mean playing guitar "classically" as playing with all fingers like the blues and jazz players of the first half of the century, not like Bach and Beethoven, lol.

Most of Gatecrasher burned down in a fire on the weekend.

So what were the final results?

I see you lost 20lbs, mostly fat, but is that the final verdict? I'm gonna be running X-Factor w/ Melting Point as well, glad to see it seems to be working great with a solid diet and training of course.
