Personal Training Certification

Hi! I've decided to get certified as a personal trainer, but I don't know which organization is most sought by employers. I was leaning towards ISSA, do you have any opinions?

Why don't you go ahead and check around your area first, as in actually call up or visit the places where you could possibly be hired and ask them which certifications they accept. That would be your best bet. ;)

I'd say the two most basic and common are ACE (American Council on Exercise) and NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association). I'd go with those two before ISSA.

Hey I am from NZ and I am looking at getting certified as well- everyone has told me to go with ISSA ( it is so wordly recognised and has a great reputation). Often they provide worthwhile articles here.
