My trainer has been talking a lot lately about competing and Im not sure if I would be able to because I have a tilted sternum that is higher on the right side than the left and has a bump midway down that is off center. It isnt noticeable in workout clothes because they cover the area but definitely would be in a bikini. At one time I had implants placed closer together to disguise it but when I replaced the implants 2 yrs ago the DR placed them further apart so it is more noticeable. Does anyone know how this would effect my ability to compete? Thanks, Dallasdoll

my answer would be probably not. in fitness or figure, almost certainly not at all because of the judging criteria and you could also place your swimsuit in certain positions and use glue. in bodybuilding, your bodyfat would be lower so maybe it would show more, but also because of increased muscle mass, it might even cover the area up. that is the best i can offer because i haven't seen you, and also, if you can tell that it is bone and not muscle, even if judges did notice, it probably wouldn't count against you.

I think that if it's on your mind when competing, it'll be noticeable. BUT, if you go out confident and show that you are happy with who you are and all the hard work you have done, you can pull it off. Also, have you tried a bronzer/concealer? You can disguize depth by applying lighter concealer aroud the area and darkening the area that sticks out. Just a thought. I say go for it, you never know what may happen.
