I am new to this whole thing and I want to do it properly. So right now I am trying to decide between a prep coach/diet coach and a personal trainer. Can someone please give me their opinion on this and explain a little why they feel that way.
Also, I know what a personal trainer should cost but what is realistic for a prep coach? I don't want someone taking advantage of the fact that I'm totally new at this.
Thanks SOOOOO MUCH!

unless your personal trainer knows how to train you specifically for a competition, I'd go with a prep coach.
Most trainers have no idea about contest training and diet.

if you know the basics of how to handle yourself in the gym (how to perform exercises properly), theres no need for a personal trainer. Theyre unneccesarily expensive.
Online contest prep coaches range from 70$/month right up to a couple of hundred. str8flexed (writer of the pre-contest article sticky on this page) is phenomenally inexpensive for what hes worth. Id highly recommend him.
