anyone ever hear of this uniquely and unusually strong bodybuiler?i remember reading about him in flex magazine back in the mid 90's.they were listing some of his lifting accomplishments in the gym.unbelievable,these stats were,especially considering that he was a thinner new age bodybuilder.6'1-230(contest weight).probably 250-260(off season weight).nevertheless,these were some of his remarkable stats back then.

incline barbell press(600 for 2 reps)
barbell squats(800 max)
barbell rowing(500 for 10 reps!!!)
barbell shrugs(550 for 50 reps!!!!!!!!)
alternate dumbell curling(140 for 5 reps)

probably and likely the strongest bodybuilder pound for pound of all time.
just from the rowing and shrugs alone.

started making waves back in the late 70's!!!
must've already been in his late 30's in the mid 90's when i read the article on this phenomenon in flex magazine at that time.
i also read in another issue shortly after the one raving about his training profiles how he came in terribly flat for the contest and they showed the picture,sure enough displaying an unbelievably flat look for this strongman/bodybuilder who apparently was carrying too much water weight and perhaps even some beer belly weight on top of that.
nevertheless,i think this guy really stands out in the realms of freakishly powerfull competitive bodybuilders.when i saw him categorized as an indonesian the first time i looked em up on the internet a year ago i was rather shocked.i had always assumed he was perhaps of celtic descent.leidelmeyer sounds scottish to me.maybe he's half scottish.i'm a quarter scottish by the way so that's another reason why i paid extra attention to this particular individual.
