7 weeks out from the OCB Texas Shredder. I'm double dosing the Dicana to get lean for my show.

I'm looking forward to seeing your results on double dosed Dicana. I have seen progress using 3/day, and last time 4/day. I don't know if you're tapering up, but please remember to taper down.

I felt so strong today. Yesterday's superhigh carb is surely why, but I felt great during this workout. One of the guys at the gym told me that he thought it was awesome that I was lifting so heavy. I love my new gym.

Nutrition - No Carb Day

3 Scorch 30 minutes premeal
Meal 1: whole egg, egg whites, mushrooms, cream, coffee
2 Dicana, 2 Melting Point, 3 Phenogen
Meal 2: whey, unsweetened almond milk
Meal 3: ground turkey, avocado, olive oil
Meal 4: ground turkey, avocado, olive oil
Meal 5: ground turkey, avocado, olive oil

Total: 1134
Fat: 42
Carbs: 10
Fiber: 4
Protein: 179

I may go for a walk around the hood in a bit. I have done everything I need to do for the day and it would be nice to get out and enjoy the weather, humidity and all.

Grip kept slipping during deads. It was SO hot and I was sweating like a pig, so that's expected. Good workout, nonetheless. I felt strong.

dvsness, how would you ramp it up and down? Is there any shutdown/rebound from Dicana? I am a week in right now and just moved up from 3/day to 4/day.

As you can see, my posing was aweful. After so many days of no carbs and no complex carbs in a week, I was itching to hurry these pics along. I couldn't help but stuff my face while I was between pics. And I was up at 4:30 AM to boot!

I will try my best to get to this thing more. Training is good and diet is good. I'm so tired! I get more cardio this week and diet is changing to a fun little plan that would turn even the sanest person into a beast. Only 5 weeks to go!

So, six weeks out, honey? Do you have someone working with you on the posing? Has Dicana made you warm or had any noticable effects for you? It never did for me (other than faster fat loss! :p).

BJK - I think people tend to overestimate a thyroid supplement and it really is nowhere near potent anough to cause any shutdown. Howewer, I always like to err on the side of caution. I used 4/day on my last cut and just tapered of by dropping 1 cap for 3 days and the dropping again, ie you are at 4, so 4, 3, 3, 3, 2, 2, 2, 1, 1, 1 and then off. I know there are those who don't taper, but that's how I do it.

By the end of the week, I'm a mess. All I want to do is sleep. Because I'm so busy, I don't think about the hunger as much but it does get to me at times.

Today is chest and a little more cardio. I hit back hard yesterday and finished it off with some HIIT.

If you can, try to schedule a posing session with a seasoned competitor. Although I did base my posing initally on watching shows and the posing guide in the comp section of this forum, it was a way different experience to actually have someone physically push and correct my posture.

Part of the problem is that there isn't much in the form of seasoned competitors here. Jodie, the girl doing my suits, could help me out a bit and I planned on asking her when I went back in for a fitting. I've had another friend check out photos of my posing earlier on in prep and she gave me a few pointers, but said that it otherwise looked fine.

There are posing sessions in another city, but it's 3 hours away. I'm still considering that, but I'm not 100% sure at the moment.

I'm feeling okay. I actually got a full night of sleep last night without taking melatonin, which is totally out of the ordinary. Yesterday was refeed day, so I should be full of energy today. Mentally, it's beginning to wear on me. My face looks tired all the time. My skin looks ashy and rough. For me, that's huge considering the issues I've had with it in the past.

I'm pressing on, though. It is what it is. Someone actually told me that I couldn't do this and I'll be damned if I don't.

If you've never been fat, it's hard to understand. My brother has never been uber-lean, even while playing Division I basketball. I have never ever in my life been even close to lean. He thinks it's impossible for me to look like I belong on that stage. Bastard.

That's my first choice, but I wasn't sure whether or not to get that or ProTan. I've been reading conflicting reviews. What do you think of the Jan Tana kit?

I do like the convenience of the kit, though. I has a scrub and moisturizer for before, the compressor/airbrush with color, and the glaze. I went with her new On Stage color line since I'd seen good feedback on Mayhem. I know some people there did the initial coats with Protan and final coat with Jan Tana since Protan is darker but Jan seems to have a nicer tone. However, with the new On Stage line, I believe you don't have to apply as many coats.

I went with the Jan Tana as well. I've read good things and, if the testimonials on the site are true, then I think it's a good decision.
