My sex drive is out the roof since I have been working out. Poor hubby (giggle). Men don't have anything on me in this department. Is this typical? No, I am not complaining about it (other than having to wait or not being able to wake my hubby up).

I usually find my sex drive is highest on workout days. Particularly after a workout.
I think most find that being fit and healthy is a great way to boost sex drive. :D

I notice that my sex drive is even higher on workout days, too, especially after weight training vs. cardio. Not that it isn't high then, too.
Thank God I'm married or I don't know what I'd do....

There's nothing like a good.... ahem.... horizontal workout after weight training. My boyfriend loves it when I get all frisky on w/o days.
We're not married yet but we will do it. I'm just waiting for the question ;)

LOL... gotta love it.
Best part of working out, IMO

I suppose that this wonderful benefit of working out is due to an increase in testosterone???? or some other male hormone that we women produce.
How does working out affect the guys??? Whoa!

You may be right. We had a similar discussion (link (http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=141638)), regarding a different effect, which may also be linked to increased hormone production.

Hi Cogar,
Thanks for the link and the comments.

Also, I notice that the sex drive is a constant thing as well. In addition, my depression and fatigue has lifted except for the blues one day before my cycle. A workout will lift it though. As far as energy, I'm very "bouncy." My daughter volunteered for a Halloween Hike the other night and the director of the center said he was exhausted just watching me move around. Guess I got on his nerves walking and fidgeting....he he he. Beats being a lump on a couch though.

As for the not being able to wake him up, if you were to wake him up orally, I'm sure he'd be awake in no time at all. :D Works wonders for me, I can be totally exhausted, and be awake and smiling within seconds...
My personal experience, yeah, working out boosts my sex drive. I think the time of the year has a lot to do with it, too. I usually only have sex or self-pleasure once every 2-3 days. Right at the moment, I've been doing it 2-3 times per day (not on any testosterone or anything, all natural). I have been going through a cutting cycle, and I'm not able to workout as intensely as when I'm bulking.
My weenie hurts :(

Yeah, that did work well the other night!

The only reason my sex drive goes up after working out is cause the ladies at the gym like to wear tiny shorts and spandex :) Otherwise, my drive is usually pretty high anyway...i think i speak for most men in my age class.

When I join a gym, I'll be sure to wear baggy sweats and a really ugly T-shirt so as not to cause problems!

Now that will cause problems...i don't go to the gym to look at women, but it's good motivation when you see women (especially those with thight clothes) on the gym floor.

Well, I'm thinking about joining a gym, but if I see Bambi in stilettos doing calf raises....
Do they wear full make-up? Just want to know what the competition is doing? Ooops - wait a minute. I'm married. Silly me.

An interesting and perhaps entertaining thread regarding what people wear (link (http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=132712)).

I wear really baggy sweatpants. Today when I did cardio I had on sweatpants, a tank top and a hooded sweatshirt AND a baseball hat with the hood over it, with headphones. I absolutely hate people interrupting me and men trying to hit on me.
Though I do wear makeup.
hahaha

Hmm. I thought you liked looking good. If so, why cover it up--at least to that extreme?

I do like looking good, for me. I dont look good for anyone else and I am not in the gym to put on a show. I dont want to worry about people staring at me. 100% concentration and focus.

Hi Hotgymchick -
I use waterproof masacara and waterproof eyeliner. When I workout at home, I sometimes look like Tamy Faye Baker afterwards because I sweat so much. What is your secret there? Please!

It is distracting having guys stare at us when we work out. I'm sure that is why hotgymchick goes incognito - not as much attention so she can concentrate on working out. We know men are men and are going to look anyway. We never do, you know -hee hee.

That's what the mirrors are for...there are always a few lecherous eyes spying somewhere from the mirror.

I have a eyeliner from Maybelline- its not waterproof but it doesn't smudge! I also use Maybelline lash expansion mascara. i have really long eyelashes and these make my eyes totatlly pop. Occasionally if I rub my eyes I look like a racoon but hey maybe it will be a new trend! hahaha :D

Could be the goth/Marilyn Manson (except I don't want flabby arms like Marilyn - ewww!) workout look. Thanks for the info.

LOL, Lynne :D
Something else I have found to work really well is MaxFactor Lashfinity. I usually wear it when I go clubbing. It is the only mascara I've found that doesn't smudge after a few hours of dancing up a sweat. There have been more than a few occasions when I've worn it to bed after getting home really early in the morning and even then it doesn't have that stingy eye thing going on when I wake up.
.....and no, I don't work for MaxFactor ;)

Hi Titania,
I'll have to try the Max Factor. It sounds like it could be used for eyeliner, too!
Are you the one that posted you had found a great gym in Aussie land where the gay guys were so nice? Wonder if you call them Sheila's of Bloke's over there? Blokettes maybe? Just a joke...please no one take offense.

That wasn't me who posted that. I workout at home.
I did just discover a gym near me today though that has some good equipment and the owner is a powerlifting competitor. I'm considering doing some competitive powerlifting myself so it was a buzz to find it so close to me. :)
