Hi guys! I'm new, my name is Tammy. I have been searching different stuff online about diets, workouts and so on and came across this site. Great Site!! I've picked up a lot of great tips already. I have been bouncing up and down in weight for a few years now and am tired of i. I am really focused on changing myself and my lifestyle! I will get into my diet and workout rutine and do really well and somehow always seem to slip back out of it. I blame no one but myself!

Just to give you guys a little info I am 26, 165lbs and 5ft 2in. I have started a workout rutine, with a combo of TaeBo, Excercise bike and bowflex for lifting and toning. I feel I need to lose atleast 30 pounds to be in a healthy weight catagory for my age and height.

So if any of you have any tips to help me reach my goals that would be great. Looking forward to getting to know everyone!!

Thanks
Tammy

make sure you eat something shortly after you workout (like within 5-35 minutes)

I like subway (no mayo, cheese is ok, no soda, with a bag of sunchips i get from around the corner) but thats just me

stay away from diet soda! if you must drink soda go regular. Im a paranoid conspiracy theorist when it comes to this but i'm telling you aspartame/splenda is BAD AND EVIL!!!

I wondered about that because I always feel really hungry after I workout, but feel like I shouldn't eat because I just had a good workout. So I should eat after working out?

Also I typically workout in the evening at like 7pm. Thats the easiest time of day for me. I've read that you should work out first thing in the morning prior to eating. Does it really make a difference. Am I not doing as good of a workout by doing it in the evening?

Thanks again!

working out stimulates your muscles to increase nutrient absorption. your muscles are trying to get all the nutrients they can right after you workout

you want to eat shortly after you finish working out so your muscles can get nutrients and hopefully grow a tiny tiny bit! bigger muscle means it burns more fat every minute

Working out in the evening is fine. I like working out in the evening because working out closer to bedtime helps me sleep better. doesn't really matter tho
