Well first of all do a search on this site this has been discussed many times on these borards. Also go to www.epinions.com they have a "Consumer reports" type site that gives peoples reviews on just about everything including the Bowflex. So read up and good luck in what ever u decide. L8er

Dee Jay. I have one. they are great to start with. they will really get you going but they will give you a big difference in the weight they say is on there and true weight. Mine has 310 lbs of resistance, And I can press all of it. But if you try to do this with actual weight. The Mortician will be reconstructing your chest for showing. They are great for toning and some mass. But if you're looking for BIG gains Buy heavier free weights. Just a personal experience to give you and Idea.

i have one too, like they said, its good for toning, fat loss to some extent if you devise a good circuit training regimen, and as for mass building, you will eventually come to a plateau with the bowflex, so i would choose free weights.
