Hey BMX29996!

It looks like you have potential to go far in the sport. You have excellent musculature for your age.

Did you win your weight class, or entire division (i.e. Teenage Men)? Sometimes the promoters of competitions can hook you up with sponsorships if they are really impressed with your abilities. When our friend Railz did his 2nd competition, his conditioning was so much better (and his posing was outstanding) that his promoter introduced him to one of the judges who is heavily involved with many of the professional bodybuilding interests in the US.

Since your competition was statewide, see if you can contact the promoter of that competition and see if you can get any sponsorship contacts from him/her. Having won a title, you should be able to get a sponsorship from a local gym, or possibly one them can introduce you to the right person.

I feel your pain though. Competitive bodybuilding is an expensive undertaking. It wasn't until I got my first fulltime job that I was able to afford all the food I needed to break the 170 lb. mark. :)

If all else fails, I could steer you toward some places online where you can get supplements for a reasonable price.

Anywho, good luck, and we wish you all the best.

Hey man I know some sponsors in Miami, that would give you a hand. PM me and let me know a little bit about yourself.

Nick, your friends and family are your real supporters. If they want you to succeed in the sport, they will try to help you on the costs associated with supplements. At my gym, we have paraplegics working out and overcome all barriers! Have you seen Colt Wynn? Should I say anymore? Have a positive attitude and you will do fine. Things will fall into place.

Attend shows, be personable, and remember that if people are going to be giving you money, that they're most likely gonna want you to do something in return. (advertise, wear their Tshirt, write articles, etc.)

I can't squat very much and my bench is pretty big. Its just how some people are. Squat sucks anyways lol. I'm all about benching and power clean.

I've been a pageant contestant (STAY WITH ME) and a 5K, triathlon and adventure race warrior for the past 4-5 years. Yes, competitions do get very expensive, but no one is going to just hand out money because you're working hard to achieve your goals. Have you tried doing fundraising events? If your job doesn't pay enough, try organizing a fun event (you can make these a little more "guy friendly" like a school dance, bake sale, arm wresting competition, charge teams to play a tournament basketball game or something like that. I raised $3500 to enter my triathlon and cover expenses. Write letters and explain your plea with photos and offer to do charity work in return for someone. Dick's sporting goods was a sponsor of mine, you might want to chekc them out. You can think of ways!!!
