OK, I am a 20yr old female and I want to start competing in fitness shows or figure petty soon. My body I would say is about 75% there. I train, especially cardio all the time usually about 6-7 days a wk ad cardio twice a day. i love Cardio its not hard for me. The problem however isn't training its my diet. I could follow the perfect diet all day long and then after 9pm I lose all control and I feel everything I work for goes to waste. I overeat stupid things like ricecakes with peanut butter, ff pudding, popcorn ect. All stupid little things thatadd up though to an extra 2000 calories. So far it hasn't hurt my body physically becuase of how much I usually workout but mentally it is killing me. Evernight I tell myself tomorrow will be different. I really think I need to get a personal trainer, I would realy love a female trainer who has competed to especially help me set-up a diet plan. Do you have any suggestions or know where a good place to find these experts? I am so close to getting where I want to be except for this problem. Thank you so much

Sounds like you may not be giving your body all that it needs! From the sound of it, you are being too strict on yourself during the day, and that leads to disaster a night!

From all of that cardio, and your daily diet, your body is desperatly trying to replace those calorie and glycogen stores. And you are still trying to be so good, that your binge winds up being healthy food..... that adds up! :(

Maybe you could try allowing yourself a treat everyday... but something small, like a mini candy bar, or hershey kiss, and earlier in the day, say 2:00 PM. I usually keep those Dove minatures, they give me the fix w/out all the cals. Don't stress about the "treats" until about 6 weeks out from your competition, only then do they really need to go.

Keep a food diary, and tell friends and family about your PM weak times, ask them to support you and keep there eyeballs open for on coming binge! :o

Tell your closest friend that you would like to call them at this time (dont forget to tell them why.. the whole support issue)

Good luck!

When I feel these snack attacks coming on in the evenings (and I have a real sweet tooth!) I either make a protien shake with water, protien (I use EAS Simply whey) and fresh fruit. This really fills me up. Or if I am having a sweet attack I like the new Myoplex Lite Peanut Caramel Crisp bars.

Good Luck!
