Hey Scott.

I have been following your journal for a few weeks now - solid stuff man!! I really like your routine. I will one day do a similar setup when I learn excercises like cleans and snatches and get a bit more of a solid strength base behind me!!

shoulder felt good... form felt good... friend watching said it looked fine to him... but will see... 40x3 felt light and so did the 70... left knee clicked for every squat... rushed... did that in 45 mins...

ye... i can now sit in full squat forever... before i just fell backwards with no weight...

use a clean grip but use straps until your wrists get flexible enough...

Yeah, that's another reason I haven't ventured to the teen section lately. Mainly in the supp and nutrition. WF and GB are two of my favorites, glad to hear you like them bro.

Haha, that's cool, I figured you did. Basically WF is stims with a few extras and WB is non-stims.

Well ive just noticed that you often post workouts that involve sprinting and such. I play lacrosse (defense) so I really need to bring my explosive strength/speed and agility up. Currently I am doing suicide sprints with body weight squats and burpees. My plan is to just improve over my last workout by as much as possible each time then eventually take my rest time between intervals down from 1 min to 45 seconds to 30 seconds, etc.

ye was considering going heavy but widened my grip an inch so wanted to rep it...

This coming weekend I'm gonna be giving Rugby a go. A few of my friends are on OSU's team and they convinced me to come out and try it. I'm kinda nervous but it should be a good time, certainly looks like alot of fun. I miss football so this is the as close as I'm gonna get, can't beat being able to bash some skulls lol.

I dislocated my right ring finger a while back...it didn't go back in right and likes to pop out a couple times per week. Hurts less and less each time. Tape it to one of your other fingers and it is easier to grip stuff for lifting.

ye always tape it up for rugby now... fun!!!

we lost our game... i played right crap... sprained ankle and got a migraine... severe ball cha***e... some folk who played bad got praised for playing well, i thought they were being lazy!!!

I have to say 70kg skullcrushers for 15 reps is insane. I recall 55-60kg being tough for 5 reps when I did them. :eek:

I am working at my triceps strength, hopefully in time I'll get to your level.

Don't worry about having a bad game..you need a short memory when it comes to sports. Some of my best games came after some of my worst.

Do you were ankle braces, or do they tape your ankles for games. Get a 5 gallon bucket, fill it half full of ice, then add water untill it is 3/4 full. Stick your ankle in for 20 minutes. Do this 3 times a day, first thing in the moring, and post workout are a must. It will really help. It is painfull as hell, but you'll heal faster. I used to do this for both feet/ankles after every practice and first thing in the morning all season.

I have to make sure my width of my stance is exactly right otherwise I noticed soreness in my knee. Maybe you could just slightly adjust your width of your stance and maybe the clicking would be gone.

Be carefull with that one Scott...groin injuries are tough to deal with. Youl'll have to make sure you are really warmed up when you do anything for a while, or you risk doing even more damage.

It was nice to see you have the dedication to get in the gym and try to get in a workout. A lot of the times people will use an injury not to lift at all. I usually just perform exercises that do not cause discomfort to the injury until I feel it is recovered.

How is groan feeling today?

I made a spelling mistake it is not a big deal. A lot of other people make them.

Congrats on the PR on skull crushers. It has been a while since I could go heavy on bench presses. The way my bench is set up I have to start the lift at the half way point. It is to hard to lift the weight off in that positon so I have stuck to inclines with the bar placed on the dips bars of my pullup station.

My aim has improved from last year. I had some trouble shooting to my left when I was practicing. Loosening my grip and adjusting the placement of the bow in my hand really helped. Hope to get a shot at nice big buck this year. I practice Quality Deer Management. I let the smaller bucks go by. I only take a doe when I am forced to.

I live in Wisconsin out in the country near a town called Fremont on 5 acre woods near a swamp. Hunting is not the best here I just have to get lucky during the rut and have a bigger buck come my way following a doe. The lake were I fish is only 4 miles away not to far.

I lift at my home gym. It is too far to drive to go to a gym.

Good Workout Scott.

Try doing wide grip upright rows they have less of impact on the wrists and shoulders. For me regular upright rows would always tweak my wrists.

I love upright rows, but you do have to be carefull. Rotator Cuff and wrists are easy to injure doing them. A good choise for lighter weight and higher reps.

Sorry to hear your groin injury is still bothering you. They take time to heal my friend. Just do what you can do as far as workouts and rest your injury.

Just probably going to rest up this weekend. I got the flu and I just felt like crap yesterday. I had chills, muscle aches, bad stomach, headache, and was running to the bathroom 50 times during the day. I do want to push it and get worse again so I probably going to watch a lot of football and relax.

You seem to be liking the OH Squat Scott, how are they working for you? I like the superset work too. Shortens the workout and ups the intensity.

i love them... just a great exercise... just wish i could do them heavier!!!

the days of me lifting 5-6x a week are long gone... im lucky if i can make it to the gym 2-3x a week.. decided to just scrap the journal

Sounds like you took a good hit to the nogin Scott. I had something similar when I played basketball. I went up for a dunk and a guy cut my legs out from under me and I landed on my head. When I finally came to, the trainer said the first thing I said was "put me in coach"...I don't remember much from right before it happend, probably a good thing because people said it was pretty scarey.
