how long have you been on your diet? I would have wanted to start at 14% not be there with 8 weeks to go.

It's going to be hard to get rid of that much in 8 weeks. May have considerable muscle loss if you hit it too hard! Two cardio sessions is understandable, I'm surprised he lets you have carbs at all. Using thermos? Yohimbe? Andro or norandro? Creatine?

You can do it, just going to be very tight...

well since im cutting it soo close im going to use clen with some thryoid stimulant....its not t3 but something else....dont know for sure.....my trainer is getting it for me.....and im doing two 45min cardio sessions a day now...and im using a 1-test/ 4ad supplement to help me keep my mass....so far i havent lost any mass and ive gained strength on my big movements....and yesterday i started taking a thermo.....my diet is in check....i know i can do it just as long as i do the cardio....i have sooo much more respect for the people that compete....i thought it would be easy....haha now i know!

I came off a 3.5 year layoff(4 surgurys, upper spine, lower spine, carpel tunnel left and right) And now that I felt like my wife calls me the 6 million $ man lol, decided to get back in the game. I have been competiting since 1985, done 60+ shows, I am 43. On July 23rd I had not trained or even walked into my gym in over 3 years. My diet was for ****m, and I looked the part, 6'1" 255 at 17% BF. Biceps 16" cold. Flabby tits, My waist was an all time record of 43"!!!
Well I started out very slow and poured it on. I set my sights on a November 8th show here in Texas. I was really worried about not having enough time. I new that due to my age and fat % it would take drastic measures to pull off this show.
Well, I am actually ahead of schedule!!!
Here is how I did it.
Diet: less than 50 carbs a day, high protein+fat.
Cardio: 1 hour of low impact bike every morning.
Weights: train 1 bodypart a day.
Rest: I normally hit the "WALL" on the 4th or 5th day, on that day I rest, eat some quality carbs in the 200-300 gram range, and I am a new man.
Supplements: I am new to this board, so I am not sure the proper way to talk about this. Anyone who can tell me the correct and discreet way, and I will.
RESULTS: LAst night my wife and I did BF% check,(I do this ever 10 days) and I am still 6'1" lol - 229lbs- 6% BODYFAT!!! No loss of lean tissue, but actually gained back some old muscle (IT DOES HAVE MEMORY) My waist is 36", my arms back t0 19" cold, and my Pec's a ripped rock hard 49".
I am holding much fat in the quad area, this is the thickest caliper measurement on BF%. But that is nothing new.
I am 8 weeks out and actually think I will make a good showing for my comeback. But most important, is my back is great, best it has felt in 20 years, ( I ruptured over 5 Disc's, Lumbar, & Thoracic) And all my old clothes fit. It's funny my wife had bought me several pair of high dollar Gap jeans and slacks, that I couldn't get past my knees. They are actually loose fitting right now!

well i think you know what the problem is. Dropping 10% bodyfat in 8 weeks is going to be very difficult to do.

Take note all novices as you see here bodybuilding contests are not for the faint of heart. Not something you can slap together at the last minute... you better do the time... and your homework.

This is a very worthy note and should be highlighted in a banner for all to see.

Many people under estimate the time and effort needed.

In my relatively prestigious athletic career (4 sport athlete in high school, 4 years college baseball, All-American, etc.) training for my first competition was the most phyisically and psychologically demanding endeavor I have ever done.

Also worth note was that is was the most rewarding. :)

Hey Fletch,
I wrestled and played football in highschool and college. When my buddies from school heard I was doing BB shows they thought all you had to do was lift and take some juice. Your post reminded of how misinformed they were. I have been doing this stuff for 20+ years now, and it is actually easier for me. I think that is do to how my mental preperation for the whole deal is now. The pubic has no idea what we go through to prepare for a show! A
