I just picked up some fat free cottage cheese because I heard it's a great source of protien when cutting up. However, I hate the taste of cottage cheese plain!! What can I do to incorporate it into my diet?? Any good reciepes or ways to prepare cottage cheese out there??

My sister told me to add lots of pepper. I tried the whole shaker. I don't even like pepper & I liked the pepper better than the cottage cheese. Yuck!!!!

With fruit. I agree, its so gross by itself. Put some fresh strawberries in there and its not so bad. Blueberries work too.

My sister said with cateloupe, also. I've not tried that yet. Still grossed out from the pepper experience. I'll give it a try.

I'll tell you all what I did with mine last night. I put a half cup cottage cheese, 1 packet of sugar free jello, and a half cup fruit in the blender. I added 1 1/2 c. water and blended it all together. Pour into a bowl and put in the fridge to chill. I'll be trying it today, so I'll let you know what I think. I was just an experiment.
This a.m. I'm going to try it mixed with oatmeal. Hmmmm...... I'll let you all know about that one too.

I have also found that blending the cottage cheese with some fat free yogurt helps as well as mixing it with some crushed pineapple.
One last thing for a "splurge". You can mix some seasonings (onions, garlic etc) with it and use it as a chip or veggie dip.
