Coleman getting ride from Cutler at the 2003 NPC Mr. Pittsburgh, you might have seen this shot in the latest FLEX, but I think this is a better shot (I took it)

Nice shot, bro...a feat like that would crush most men, considering Coleman was probably close to 300 for that guest appearance. Peace!

Coleman, Cutler were at my gym the day before the Pittsburgh. and Coleman and Cutler were doing front squats with like 5 plates on each side! It was quite a show!! Hope Jay will carry through and crush all for the 'O!!!

Go Cutler!!! Lol how can u say that while he is still defending the title. He needs to retire when he actually loses Mr.O which has not been for a very long time....

You are correct, though many people, myself included, feel that Coleman should have lost the last two Olympias...in 2001, he was too heavy, carrying excess water weight in his midsection and quads, and was outmatched by Jay Cutler. In 2002, Coleman was only a shadow of his best - a flat 245 pounds - and IMHO should have been beaten by Kevin Levrone.

That taken into consideration, Coleman may already be well past his prime and indeed is likely to lose this year to Jay Cutler, who has the hunger and the momentum to take the title. Peace!

Peace! yes well said. But like they said on Pumping Iron, the wolf climbing the hill is more hungry. And like Arnold said, the wolf thats already ontop of the hill can stay up because the food is already there lol.

Of course, just my opinion...but you can't touch Coleman's taper.

I think that is one of the defining touches for a good bodybuilder. (Well, that or a Weider in your pocket. *coughGuntercough*)

Cutler is WICKED huge and well defined but I still can't get over that V. Maybe I am too old-school, who knows.

Your point is certainly a valid one, Coleman is reknowned for having one of the most dramatic, if not the most dramatic, v-tapers in the sport today (I say today because I don't think even Ronnie can compare to Sergio Oliva for the best taper of all time). However, unless in peak shape, without the distention in his gut, the effect is not as dramatic. That shot is from one of Coleman's earlier Olympia victories ('99 I believe).

Cutler is certainly huge and detailed, but his taper is nothing to slouch at, either...check out the attached shot.

Those are definitely some flattering shots. I take nothing away from Cutler when I say that if Ronnie comes in peak shape (when he won his first Olympia way back when) no one can beat him.

And yes, Oliva did have the most vicious v-taper of all time. I still think he would have won a lot more Olympias had he stuck with the game. Damn shame, I say.

Needless to say, it is going to be an interesting Olympia. I wonder why they don't televise it??

Tell me about it, bro...I read in Muscular Development that Coleman's goal was to hit 325 pounds this offseason. Check out this pic from a recent FLEX photoshoot...Coleman dwarfs even Gunter! Peace!

Agreed, Ronnie stated in FLEX that even if he were beaten onstage at the Olympia, he would still attempt to return the following year and reclaim his title.
