Hello, I am interested in getting into figure/fitness competitions, but lack any info. I am really confuzed between all the different corperations that hold the different competitions. Do all lead to a Pro card? Are there different types of "governing bodies" and if, which are more prestegious?

I'm bumping this because I would also like a run-down of how the competition circuit works. I'm not so interested in fitness, more figure and bb. Hope someone can help :)

The NPC (non-tested) leads to the IFBB. The INBF (All Natural) leads to the WNBF. It depends what route you want to go. Really, there are three main types of shows:

Untested shows like IFBB and NPC - anything goes

"Natural" shows like MuscleMania - some things are tested for like steroids. Lots of legal gear and prohormones are allowed.

All Natural shows like INBF and WNBF - no steroids, growth, thyroid products, prohormones, etc.

I would also like to know the main corporations and the most popular ones. I know the IFBB is the most popular non-natural and the WNBF seems to be one of the most popular natural shows.
