Hi - I'm officially new here, but been browsing for a long time. Thought I'd start off by posting a few pics of my home gym equipment.
short run down of my equipment (not all pictured)
20-100 lb hex dumbbells (plus some 5's, 8's etc for the wife)
dumbbell rack
Powertec adjustable bench
"gold's gym" squat rack (hey, it was cheap, and now I can do squats!)
low & high pulley attachment for above squat rack & various attachments
Schwinn elyptical trainer
treadmill
bars & weights...

and cardio stuff
note that I also have added rubber mats in place of the carpet in most of the pictures... lint in the treadmill = bad.

hey I got the same bench as you. You think I could fit a power rack around that. Or do I need to just buy a regular bench.

well, the uprights are really wide, so I'd think that you can't put a power rack around it. I like that bench - very sturdy, only problem I had was that one of the weight pegs stripped off. No biggie though, I have plenty of weight trees around.

Nice set up. Like the dumbbell rack a lot. Nice small squat rack also that doesn't seem to take up much room.
Use it in good health!

I actually squat on that bench. Just lift the holders all the way up and push the seat foward. Its dangerous but its either that or no squats at all.

You've got balls; I used to do that too, but I almost fell over one time w/ 275 on the bar, and got a squat rack that week.
Champ - Does the upper part of your bench move around when it is in the "down" position? I can't get mine to stop moving around, and it's annoying on the heavy benches.

damnit wished I had that kind of space in my place.
Anyway, nice home gym! Where did you buy all the stuff from?

The powertec bench, weights, weight tree, treadmill, rubber mats, dumbbells and dumbbell rack came from Berry's barbell (http://www.berrysbarbell.com/) The elliptical and the squat rack came from my local sportmart (post-xmas sale).
I'll be adding a chin/dip/knee raise station very soon, along with some more rubber flooring.

Nice gym - I've so badly wanted my own for years. All I'd change would be to put up some mirrors!!

thats a pretty sweet gym
Hi everyone,
Ever since I got hooked on working out, I always wanted my own home gym set up. After many years I have finally accumulated enough equipment to get a thorough workout.
I have always been interested in other people's home gym set ups. I know it's one thing if you have unlimited funds and a nice big room to put your equipment in, but I would like to see what normal people do who can't build high end custom gyms.
Come visit my website and see my set up. I purchased some of the equipment over the years and then I built some and some stuff was donated.

I would love to see everyone's home gym set ups.
Thanks

looks good the only thing i would add is a power rack...
Thanks, I do have a "power" rack. Take another look. It's the wooden/steel thing with the "saw tooth" uprights.

still cant see it only a squat rack...
oh, my bad. I sometimes think of a squat rack and a power rack as the same thing. I don't do much "power-lifting" any more.
Some nice set ups on this board. Wish I had a larger room.
