Hi folks.....well, coming up from the journalling section...and now..here I am trying some supplements for Millenium (thanks guys)
For those of you who do not know me...I am 5'0, 108.5 lbs, 19% bf (or so)and doing my very first fitness competiton in June.
I must tell you, I am very skeptical about supplements, and this is the first time I have used anything (besides whey protein, fish oil pills and a multi)..so, if it works for me, then...I am pretty sure it will be above and beyond my expectations :)
I started today..I took 1/2 scoop of Ragnarok (just to be on the safe side, I was supposed to take a full scoop, but SC suggested I start off with half a scoop)
and I took 2 pills of Carnage....
Ragnarok tasted fine, I have the Black cherry variety..but it was a little diluted due to only using half a scoop....was easy to drink though :)
the Carnagepills were also easy to take....
Here was my workout:
Back Day
Lat Pulldown
1x12 (55 lbs)
3x 8 (70 lbs)
Pendlay Rows
3x8 (75 lbs)
One Arm Db Rows
3x10 (25 lb db)
Pull-ups
1x4 (unassisted)
Hammer Chin's
3x5 (25 lbs assited) tried these to switch it up a bit..I liked them, and hope soon to be doing them unassited
Hangs
3x25 seconds
Close Grip Seated Rw
3x8 (55 lbs)
Wide Grip Seated Row
3x8 (65 lbs)
Review
To be honest, besides feeling like I had a coffee right before the gym, I did not feel much. I had energy, and was motivated throughout my workout, however, I am normally like that, so...I cannot contribute that to eithier supp.
However, please be reminded that I only took half of what i was supposed to, and it is my first day...so, please follow along...if I enjoy this supp, I am pretty sure everyone one will....:)

thanks guys...will be starting a full scoop tomorrow, I was afraid given my size perhaps a full scoop would be too much..but given that I really felt..well, just like a had some coffee..I think I will increase the dosage of both tomorrow, thanks for stopping by....
I also had another workout today...but did not use the product beforehand, so not sure if I should post it...
boy, will I be sore tomorrow :eek:

Well.. I have a few Dom's today, nothing major..
I took a full scoop this morning of the Ragnarok, and I had a bit more energy then normal..to clean my house, lol....It tasted just fine, I love cherries:)
and I just finished taking my three serving shot of Carnage..with food....
so, as this is a non-workout day....I have nothing to report regarding how this helps (or doesn't) for a workout..will try and be more detailed when posting tomorrow;s workout :)

I didn't realise you were selected to test some supplements! :) Cool !
You may well find that it takes a couple of days for your body to react to the supps, or not, everyones different of course.
I won't commment on the WO as I believe I already have :D

I am glad you went with full scoop .... although I imagine you will be able to detect a difference very shortly .. within 10 days or so ... it is really noticeable!

hey everyone..thanks so much for stopping by....
In news...quitting smoking is going wonderfully..it is like my mind is in control now...even with a patch that is lower in mg's then what i used to smoke, I have few cravings, and they are very managable !! I DON"T WANT THEM ANYMORE!!!!!!!! this rocks :)
I got my suit today It is deep red velvet..with a very special bottom....I looked quite bottom heavy, but she assured me that once i start dieting it would look fantastic :) IT IS SO BLOODY SMALL!!!!OMG!!!!! I am quite nervous about walking on stage with it on..though I will look incredible..;)lol
No workout today..was rushing around, so I will catch up tomorrow...chest and arms..and cardio :eek:
Took my Ragnarok, and Carnage a bit of energy..but since no workout....well, not sure what I should/should not be feeling at this point...:(
busy day tomorrow....thanks everyone for coming by, it is nice to see some old and new faces....and sorry about my old journal, but it will be too hard to keep up with both :(

Hey Leah, good luck with your trial supplements. I too, have always been skeptical about supplements, but perhaps this will work well for you and give you the "edge", so to speak.

actually, besides standing in front of someone with barely anything on (YOU will be shocked at how small these suits feel on your body :eek:) it was quick....I knew what I wanted, and the suit I tried on looked good, real good, so...we played around with some other colors, and chose the one I initially wanted, figured out suit crystal design (very simple) and, well...done :) The suit I tried on was actually almost my size (besides my bubble butt) and so, she really didn't have to measure or anything....plus, she won't start it for awhile, until I am into my cut....
I almost didn't go Slyng...ya r'ly!

Hey LC not sure if I mentioned it but I quit smoking recently and if this clown can kick it I know you can. Keep it up. What helped me was tons of sugar-free breath mints.

I found lots of water, and hard candy/gun helps alot :)

FLat Bench Fly's
3x12 (10 lb db's) supersetted with:
Laying weighted Leg raises (off flat bench)
3x12 (10 lb db between feet)
Hammer curls
3x10 (15 lb db's) supersetted with:
BB Skullcrushers
3x12 (20 lbs)
Tricep Rope pull down
2X6 (20 lbs) this is when I really started feeling bad :(
Oh my god..I thought I was gonna vomit my way through this workout. I felt dizzy, and out of breath this whole workout...
I highly doubt it is from the supps..I was not feeling well when I woke up, and before I took anything this morning. My tummy feels horrible, and I felt kinda dizzy, and tired through the whole workout.
I do notice, that my heart races more on the supps though..is this normal?? It is not bothersome, I just noticed it seems faster these days....
anyhow, crappy workout..if I feel better I will be going back to the gym later for some cardio..right now..I am taking a nap :(

I have started and stopped smoking so many times I can't count. This time I finally feel I broke the habit. It has been 4 months and 5 days. I will be honest this was real freaking hard. I gave up drinking over 4 years ago but this takes the cake.
Well done with the "not smoking" LC! Looks like I was right about you! :)

Thanks Bud. It's tought to give people advice and be healthy when you are secretly smoking. I am proud myself. I know it may sound selfish but I don't give a rats ass. 16 years of doing then stopping cold turkey I am happy. LC I know you can do it girl. Sounds like everything is going great and you have made it through the hard stuff. Just keep active and try not to get angered. That would trigger it for me.

Still keeping track eh???? You got 4 months on me, lol
It is hard..but feels different this time around (I have of course tried before) I don't think of it as much, and actually get a little quesy when I think about having one..I think this is my time :)

Thanks SC!! it is hard..and the funny thing is..I am clamer, and more easy going, not smoking..very weird..I am re-learning how to cope with stress too..I think that is a hard thing to quit smoking...to find a different way to deal with the triggers????
now....if I can just stop feeling so icky :(

well, I have that hot/cold feeling, sore tummy...headache...and the very idea of eating anything is enough to make me sick....I have not had anything to eat since 9 this morning....lots of water though....I have a feeling anything solid going in, well....won't last long...

Overhead DB Press
3x10 (15 lbs db's)
AT THIS
One Leg SMITH Machine Calf Raises (off bench)
3x10 (each leg individually) 40 lbs
then:
3x15 (both legs) each for: toes in..and then, toes facing out....(95 lbs)
Don't laugh..they took away the standing calf raise machine..and until I can do 45 lbs with one leg..I have to do them in the Smith
Military Press
4x5 (60 lbs)
Front Raises
3x12 (10 lbs)
Hangs
3x30 seconds
Did some gymnastics afterwards.....for some reason, I am getting fearful of the hardwood floor :(
So..will go this evening to do LEGS!!!! yes, that is 2 workouts in one day-AGAIN!!!!
Impressions:
Well.....I did have good energy at the gym....it is hard taking two supplements, becasue you can never be sure what is doing what....I felt good..heart rate was great..and no tummy aches or dizziness today....course, I assume becasue I took yesterday off from supps, the inconsitency may be affecting the effects of eithier supp....so. I promise to be more consistent, and try to be a bit more accurate about the effects....
have to go take some Carnage now..and eat lunch..thanks for stopping by :)

Cool you do the gymnastics, I used to do that..once...a long, long time ago...lol. I competed on floor and vault, floor was my favorite. I always wanted to do the bars but I was really bad at them! Were you ever on a team or just enjoy it for fun?

no, they have always been ok..I just could not do them at a higher rep range very heavy.....these were very hard though....I was taking it easy for awhile on them becasue of the trap injury....

I never competed, I taught myself everything..and just loved it...thanks god my body did not argue too much when I started doing gymnastics again after a 10 year hiatus....gymnastics rock :) competing must have been fun???

no, lately I have been practicing on the hardwood, but my tucks have felt off, so I am scared again..one wrong move and i am broken...lol
I did a leg workout last night too, but it was not a "supp" workout, so I did not post it (yes, 2 workouts in one day...)
I am freakin sore today..and am going tonight for a back workout..if I can walk, lol
once the forums get better will try to make my way to other people's journals :)

yeah im 205lbs.... Plus the only time that BA has ever given me paresthesia was when I took around 8g-10g bulk BA... Carnage has the IsoTonic delivery system to help reduce the tingles!

LC I would expect it to take a few weeks before you start seeing benefits from Carnage. The ROK should be noticable day one in the energy department and you should notice a nice gradual increase in strength since this is you first time with a creatine type product. You down a full scoop yet?

I am taking a full scoop, and have been since day 2...I notice a little bit more energy,,but more like.....drinking a coffee really fast before the gym.... I do notice that reps are a bit easier to squeeze out....and since the weights are LOW...that is the best way for me to determine whether strength is improving...
I am having a night workout tonight (when my energy is lowest) so...this will be the tell day day :)

yes, I do....I can drink one right before bed and still sleep.....
let's see what tonight holds..I have tons of energy in the mornings (when I have been working out lately) but, less at night..if I have more energy tonight, then it is working :)
but if I can't fall alseep, I am coming over to your place, and making your baby wake up and puke all over you again ;)

I did two workouts, the shoulders and legs yesterday, tonight teh back :)
no huge difference yet,,but it has only been about a week...tomight will be a good test as energy has been lower then normal today...
leg workout in other journal..I did not take supps later in the day so it was not related to this journal (don' worry I can't even keep track anymore, lol)

I can't believe the tolerance you have built up to caffeine. One scoop of Ragnarok makes me fry pretty good even at my weight. I guess with losing nicotine it would make caffeine all the less effective.

I can't believe the tolerance you have built up to caffeine. One scoop of Ragnarok makes me fry pretty good even at my weight. I guess with losing nicotine it would make caffeine all the less effective.
well..I gues it is hard for me to tell what is doing what..between the ROK, the patch, and the Carnage..my body is just trying to adjust to everything..also,,remember I am a skeptic..so i don't want to make too much of anything I feel...I DO have some more energy at the gym...but yesterday I had 2 workouts, one with the supps, one without, and both were equally similiar in...motivation and energy.....however...it has been a week, so...let's see how the rest of it goes....

Overall a good workout.
Impressions
I had to take the Ragnarok on a full stomach, due to lack of time, and had it only 20 minutes before the gym.
I did notiice that I had MORE energy through the end of my workout...and seemed to have a bit more endurance to "last" longer.....normally about 45 minutes in, especially during an evening workout, I get tired quickly..last night I didn't. I left becasue hubby was ready to go home...
Strangely..I notice I am MORE flexible????? and can hold streches longer then I used too...
overall good workout, good energy, and great endurance last night.
Today is an off day. Back for chest day tomorrow, and cardio :(

Nothing with Carnage and nothing stomach wise when I tested Ragnarok. Differtent folks different strokes. I had stomach problems on Vaporise where most dont get it. :)

NO!! I did not even have a coffee this morning...
I think it might have been from dehydration..I went right after breakfast, and had very little to drink before I got there....also, I was a pound and a half lighter..so my water was low....
I feel better...but i certainly will nt make that mistake again :(
think this could be the reson???

I took the Ragnarok about an hour before workout..and felt a surge of energy after taking it, which was great, as I was not looking forwrd to the gym, and lack of energy at all..I also took all 6 Carnage pills (so i would not forget to take them all again) and had no problems whatsoever.

I do find some energy from the Ragnarok, like drinking a few coffees one right after another.......and an improvement in endurance (teh Carnage) so yes...but I am a skeptic, so...I am waiting out the whole 40 days to give my review :)

Great orkout. It was the first time I had done cardio since I started the supps..and it WAS great!!! lots of energy today :)
OH...and I tried the sample of "Warrior Melon" Ragnarok and how I wish that was the one I was testing!!!!!! So GOOD!!!! I highly reccomend this flavour..it is sweeter then the cherry!!!!

I love hangs on shoulder and back day..strech everything out..feels great,,except for on the hands :eek:
I found the only way to get the dips was to jus do them..I was doing them with assistance for the longest time, and then tried them n my own..and voila..I could do them :)

OMG!! I am exhausted now..I played around a bit..
I like the addition of jumping squats..should help me with height in my tumbling...
and I added deads cause I miss them, and don't want to get rusty doing them....
Overall. very happy with tonights workout. I could not wait to get into the gym..had tons of energy, and just felt like I could have done cardio afterwrds :eek:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you let all your training aspects run wild inside your head creating a snowball effect!! Just keep sight of your goals and keep things in perspective LC!! You are doing really well! When you compete I have no doubt that you'll place!!

I think it is my body adjusting to the diet...my workouts have een fine, pretty strong actually, just..haven't enjoyed them like normal... I still like the routine...alot...I think I am just scattered, worried...

just ignore me..I am being a big whiny baby..even I am sick of my complaints...mainly this is coming from the fact that I have been cutting for 2 weeks, and I am up to 109 lbs :eek: up 4 lbs in the middle of a cut..yea-go me :mad:

It could well be due to the fact that you have quit smoking. I'll normal to put on some weight in the beginning, although this will level out over time.

IMO that is a myth,,,when quitting smoking, people generally eat more as a replacement, which is not the case with me..I am eating less...

yep..lower doasage now, but still using it.
you know, I am proberly overeacting, and just need to make some adjustments to my diet (I am eating 10-20 g more protein on average then I should be)
my workouts have been ok, and I have energy when doing them...I am eating what i should, and i am sure changes will start happening soon enough..I am just impatient :(

So, you may have noticed that my workout looked a little harder then normal?? At least, more weight then has been typical lately???
I have decided to start a bit more heavy lifting..and create more "fun" in my workouts...
From here on in..I am going to be doing heavy weight/low rep squats, deads, mil press, pendlays and SLDL's....I think heavy lifting has been missing from my program, and I want to put them back in, despite the fact I should be going lighter...
The challenge keeps me motivated, and happy..I felt great during and after my workout today..and I think that feeling is much more important, then any other goal I can have....
Great workout..very happy and diet spot on ....

Well...I finally got the unassisted hammer chin's..man they were hard..I only pulled out 2 at a time..but...they were awsome

great energy too..I think the Rag is def helping me with a bit of a kick in the ass for cardio..and the Carnage seems to have imporved my endurance too :) big props :)

Essentially, I was tired and weak today...the cold is getting a bit worse, leaving me feeling pretty lethargic now...I think a nap would help....
Today is my duaghter Olivia's birthday...I resisted the pancakes hubby made for her birthday breakfast, but will be joining in with the spagetti and meatballs for birthday dinner......my macro's may be a bit higher then normal today...depends on how the rest of the night goes though.

I think that was a great workout. I certainly can't deadlift after training legs like that.
I've heard a lot of women complain about acne while on the rag:D ...BUT not on Ragnarok or carnage. Keep us advised.

I felt really HOT during this workout..the gym was a sauna...I normally don't drip sweat..but attractively...I was today...I was a mess when I left the gym....
but..I am starting to see those cool veins that run along the front of the shoulders..all wiggly and **** and my arms are starting to get really vascular...kinda scary actually
FINAL REVIEW
Being a big sceptic of supplements, and thier effects on workouts etc...I came into this almost as a challenge to prove they DO NOT WORK!!!!
However..I was surprised, that even though I started cutting at the same time, and would have thought my energy levels would be less, and my lifts lower, and have less endurance..I found the opposite to be true.
I had great endurance, which typically I do not...after about an hour, I usually would be ready to pack it in and go home...but, whether it was the Ragnarok, or Carnage..I was able to do 2 hours (lifting, cardio, and routine practice) pretty easily.....
I had no side effects (except for bad acne, and I am not sure 100% if it was from the supps, (maybe an allergic reaction??) or not...only my time off from the supps (and whether it remains or not) will tell me....
So..coming from a skeptic..I am pleased to inform Millenium, and Spaceclown, and all you folks who follow this, that the supps did seem to help with ebergy and endurance..and if you are looking for something to give you a little extra kick in the gym, then you may want to consider giving this stuff a try...
Thanks to Millenium and SC for letting me test it....and I give you props for some good products (though the watermelon rag is 100 times tastier then the cherry)
If anyone has any more questions, I will be happy to answer them..but this will be my last official post in this plae unless someone needs something answered....
