Last time i was in a HRT contest i took 3rd.
This time im going to take 1st, follow my progress here.
Stats
Age: 21
Weight: 177 LBS
Occupation: FireFighter

Started Lifting: 2005

Just looked at your workout.. what's a prowler? And 45 box jumps. I would fall on my face. I have a hard time with 25 in crossfit. Lol

they are my favorite but boy do they wear me out quickly and by the time i got to the box jumps in the routine, i was needing short breaks lol :) I LOVE CROSSFIT, i will be doing a little on the side to Supplement HRT, not for a routine but for fun. Do you do a lot of crossfit?

Cool! I want to play! I actually just started it two weeks ago. The base I workout on offers it. I was going to supplement my workout with it once a week but was hooked. Now I go 4-5 times a week. Lol! We did this thing called a bear complex last week. It was nuts.

Reverse Tri Pulldowns 2 x 8+6
Lying EZ Skull Crushers 2 x 8+6
Hammer DB Curls 2 x 8+6
DB Concentration Curls 2 x 8+6
Reverse EZ Curls 2 x 8+6

Day2-The Wheels
BB Squats 2x8+6
Leg Sled 2x8+6
Deadlift 2x10
Calf Raise 4x8+6
Hamsting Exercise 2x8+6

Day 3-Rest and Relief

Day 4-The Body Armor
BB Bench/DB Bench 2x8+6
BB Incline/DB Incline Bench 2x8+6
DB Flies/Cable Flies 2x8+6
DB/Hammer Stength Shoulder Press 2x8+6
Side DB/Pully Laterals 2x8+6
Rear Delt Raise 2x8+6

Day 5-The Cement Wall

Wide Lat Pulldown 2x8+6
Lower Back Ext 2x8+6

Abdominals will be done at least twice a week and will consist of any thing from Hanging Knee Ups, Planks, Situps, Leg Kicks, GHD Situps, Leg Raises, Crunches, Side Crunches, and Plate Bends.

Also as i mentioned, depending on my energy levels, i will be doing a few small crossfit workouts just for fun in between. But with my Schedule things will have to get shifted. I have school mondays 8-5 pm, fire department every 3rd night (6pm-6am), and another shift every 3rd day (6am-6pm). I also have my fiance and daughter i have to spend time with so sometimes Crossfit will take the back seat. lol

It really is the best. I going to do some hrt and use crossfit as my cardio maybe lol cause i sweat like its nobodys business with xfit.

Thank you, and its fun being in the contest. It gets better when there are only a few left. HRT isnt as hard as they say, you will get a massive pump, and it really does work, Rage knows his stuff. This will be a good time.

I just printed the workout from the HRT pages.... Obviously will do 8+6 not 8+4.... did you change the workout at all?

Jeez when do you have time to workout?! I mean I have a son.... but he is a 6 months old pitbull so I can put him in his crate and leave! :P

My little girl is with momma at work till 4:30 but sometimes i take her during the day.and yeah i change the workout to fit my gym and what i can do.

I do DL on leg day because i try to put more focus on my hamstrings and not my lower back and im doing 2x10 because the thought of doing a deadlift slowly on the way down just seems lift a back problem waiting to happen, in one of the links i have above tom has DL's in the routine as 2x10 I BELIEVE. Dont hold me to that. And with the squats, my legs are weak anyways, but i always squat in the power rack so if i get stuck i just drop it, but, i do it first so my legs are ready and fresh. I try, but it never works, i try to stick to compound movements as much as i can. But like doing DL HRT style is like doing Jerk CLeans HRT lol OUCH! haha hope i helped.

Thanks for the info! I watched the solo HRT deadlift video--I think I'm going to try it. DL is absolutely my favorite exercise.

Here it is, the night before HRT begins. So lets talk for a moment. Today was a crazy day and my last cheat before HRT Shred. My fire department held
a Ice Cream social event so it was a bust day. I didnt eat much during the day (bad job chris), I had 6 cans of mountain dew today (bad job Chris), i had 4 donuts (dummy), i had icecream(wow)
Well, that wont be happening again lol. So lets talk my diet as of right now for the competition.

The Diet

8:00 AM-3 eggs, Banana, Animal Pak, Fish oils, Oat Meal

10:00 AM-Workout, Jak3D (for now)

11:00 AM-Pasta, Chicken Breasts

1:30 PM-Workout (if Capable)

2:30 PM-Protein, Creatine

3:30 PM- 2 Peanut Butter Sandwiches

6:30 PM-Meat, Veggie

Before Bed-Milk, Mixed Nuts

Tomorrow is check in, not sure if he wants videos or not for the first one but we will see, and Hell Yeah lets Shred. Obviously first weeks a trial run on the routine and diet so more updates to come.

To be fair i felt sick after the mountain dew, one donut had custard gross, and the ice cream was strawberry and part of it fell on the floor. Dont blame me :( ple ple please dont do this to me... :(

Well i had to go to the doctors to get a physical because i'm apply for a new position at the fire department and on the 23rd i have to take an agility test so i had to get a paper filled out by the doctor saying i could perform the activities. My BP was 98/62 which is Crazy good, the doctor said i was extreamly healthy and sign the paper. I Will be taking 2 days off of the gym when the agility test nears, so i can recover. The test is on a friday, so know gym that thursday or friday.

Its not to bad, i just have been doing to much crossfit, now crossfit with HRT my legs are literally worked 4 days a week. I tried 1 body squat yesterday and fell over lol. Today i'm off of HRT but crossfit today was crazy. Sweating like a mad man. Ps, i had a chocolate cupcake last night... :( Fail.

WTF... did my cardio and another guy that normal does crossfit walked out of the room and was like "no class today?" i was like ummm? what? - apparently they had no trainers. How do you have no trainers? AND not even a sign that says its cancelled... Just stand around looking dumb until you figure it out! And I'm blonde so it takes a while!

I do not fit size L shirts, i only fit XL. My Back, and arms, and shoulders fit it perfectly but my waist and length do not. Like When it gets to my waist its huge and i can wear it like a dress. What Do i do, What do you do???

Um, i believe i took Combat powder protein, animal pak, animal flex, shock theropy (preworkout), BCAA, fishoil, and serious mass (which was a big help)

well thank you for stopping by :) and i hope so, im not really worried about it, its like stairmaster for 6:00 with 50 lbs vest, cant touch rails, and a 90lbs deadlift 30 times, 95 lb shoulder press, ect ect...pretty easy stuff.

That's the agility test? I thought agility was like umm making sure you are agile. not strong. lol

Nah, that doesn't sound bad at all. Compared to this HRT stuff, that's a walk in the park. You'll be fine. Congratulations in advance. :)

This is chrisbartley im on my old account, i guess i posted a troll forum last week and got into an arguement with someone and got banned till tuesday, what douches lol So tuesday, my last three workouts that i havent posted and all updates videos and such will be up late tuesday night. Ok well i am now out of the HRT Shredded as hell contest because of a few hickups in life, which its fine, not a big deal. Time to move on though, so here is what im up to.

Diet/Schedule
7:00-Wake
7:30-Breakfast (3 eggs, 2/3 oatmeal, Banana, Vitamins, fish oil)
8:00-Jog 20:00 min
10:00-2 Peanut butter sandwiches
11:00-Strength&Crossfit (2 hours total)
1:00-Protein/Creatine
3:30-Chicken, Quinoa, veggies
6:00-Chicken, Quinoa, Veggies
9:00-Chicken, Quinoa, Veggies
10:00-Bed

I'm drinking a gallon of water a day.
