Regarding the topic, and I'm being serious, how would one train without access to weights or equipment? This tends to happen when I travel. I know books, heavy bags, etc. can work but they may also get a little awkward. And suitcases and shaky hotel furniture don't really seem like a safe idea...

I'm actually on a trip now so anything good for the legs, glutes, and full arm exercises is a big plus. But more generally:

What are effective, full-body exercise routines that come close give the same effect as weight training? Pushups and crunches are a given, but what about moves like deadlifts, back squats, pull-ups, step-ups, and anything else?

And sorry if this is a repeat thread. I just want more definitive answers than what Google is giving me. Thanks :)

Try the book 'Never Gymless' by Ross Emamait.

It's what you'd exped front he title. Full body workouts, strength training, etc, that you can do any time anywhere with only your brain and a bit of enthusiasm.

I found it pretty usefull and there's lots of resources online for it.

Hope youre having a great trip :)

Check out any of the bodyrock videos or Zuzanna Light's ZWOW workouts! They all are on YouTube and some use no equipment. They are awesome! :) some very difficult but there are many alternatives to certain advanced moves.
