Curious.

I want to compete in one but not sure if I wanna do a routine.

Generally yes. However, it depends on the organization. I will be competing in the IDFA where posing routines are only mandatory for the pros. As amateurs. we just free pose to 30 seconds of music that they chose. Once you know what org you are interested in competing in, just look up their website and it will let you know what is required i.e. posing routines etc.

They are almost always required, but usually not judged. Check with your specific organization to be sure. Best Wishes!

some contests require all athletes to submit music, but only the top 5 or 10 after prejudging will actually perform the routine. Again, depends on the organisation, the class and sometimes even the time restrictions and show schedule.

Its not as tough as you think tough, especially if its only a 60 second one, its pretty fun to work it out.
