What can any one recommend me to keep track of the calories I am burning while starting to ride a bike daily. I am looking to loose fat and get more in shape/ build stamina, just wanna make sure I get this diet thing right... am I in the right area?

You could get a cheap $25 bicycle computer that measures distance and average speed. You can use your average speed with some online calculators that output calories based on age, gender, weight and at what speed (intensity) your bike ride was. Not as accurate as a heart rate monitor. You could also buy a BodyMedia armband and it would keep track based on sweat, heat, etc.
