Hi All,
I have only just started to be a fitness freak! lol I use to hate the word gym :)
I started going to the gym about 6 weeks ago and i have been going 6 days a week for an hour or 2. I want to lose my belly fat and thigh fat basically all the areas an unfit women holds fat. I have been told by family members i will NEVER lose my belly and get it flat or abs as i have had two children :( so is there any advise out there? or any other women who actually have lost the weight and have toned up?

Thank you x

This post should help.

Please clear all misconceptions about weights, protein etc., whether or not these same rules apply. Maybe you could get away with lesser protein but concentrate on increasing your resting metabolic rate with calisthenics and other brisk activities.
Drink lots of water, eat enough fiber.
Start logging whatever you eat everyday, use www.fitday.com to track your calories. Won't take more than 5-10 mins daily but it will make or break your fat-loss journey

All the best

If you really want it, you'll get it. Don't stop because you start to feel a burn. Keep going. Don't lift the lightest weight because it's easy. Push yourself. And don't be afraid to do some big lifts like squats.

The 3 rules of Fat Loss.

#1- Get diet in check
#2- Lift to look better but don't rely on it to be your sole source of deficit creation.
#3- Use cardio if you want to help create a deficit.

Hey just remove from your mind that you have 2 children so you can not lose your weight. Anybody can lose weight but you have to consistent in your weight loss program. Drink lots of water about 4-5 ltr per day. Brisk walking is one of good option. And don't do too much fasting to lose weight it will affect your health. follow all instructions given by your gym instructor.
All d best.

Great tips! Awesome thread and mummy, I'm having the same issues. Roubatty, love your quote about abs on a skinny guy! So true
