Hey guys, have my first contest coming up in about a month and a half. Just a local gym hosting a small-ish open contest for anyone in the area, figured I'd opt in the 18 and under ;)

I know I've seen a bunch of studies posted in the nutrition section about soy and man tits and all that, but I figured I'd ask you guys here since this is where it matters! So does anyone here drink soy milk? Do you cut it off at a certain point pre contest? I was just thinking "screw it, BB.com says its cool", but a few of the experienced lifters (1 of whom is a judge and had judged "pro" contests in the early 90s) say the phyto estrogens in soy ARE a problem, especially pre contest.

Opinions?

***I know I wont win :D just thought it'd be an experience and maybe some motivation.

ditch the soy imo

cut dairy like 5 days before show day just incase

thanks man. So you guys believe in the soy causing gyna? (I trust you guys a bit more than nutrition section, experience>reading)

I don't know of anyone personally who has developed soy gyno. I digest regular milk better than soy milk and protein so I stay away from the stuff and I don't like the taste.

My guess is there are a few who claim they got it from soy but got it from using something else and they use it as a cover.

that last paragraph makes so much sense and I never even thought of it. I drink both though, 3/4 of my milk is whole cow, the other 1/4 is soy and almond.
