Camera man thought I was only cleaning but luckly he accidentally hit the stop button twice and got part of the jerk in another video

Clean:
0GeM3PCQtIE

Jerk:
jrNrJKNPoW4

Legs felt pretty weak today, the front squat in the clean should have been easier, I hit a 144kg front squat last week.
Not sure where the extra 7.5kgs are going to come from to hit my optimistic goal by the 9th.

Comments/critiques on form are appreciated.

Awesome jerk considering the bit of struggle in the front squat portion, well done!

Yes it is.

Would you happen to be Michael J. Wittmer father of Jeff Wittmer?

Great work.

Today I pressed half that, and thought it was great:).

great effort

but if you look at the clean you prematurely pull with your traps and possibly biceps
your hips are not fully extended

still gjdm
I cant C&J 125kg

I have watched it back many times in slow motion and I do pull early with my arms but not traps. Surprised you noticed it watching it in full speed. I have been working on delaying pulling with my arms and I have got quite a bit better at it, still have a little ways to go though.

good job. if you bring more power to the clean and speed to it you'll be able to get under it the bar faster so you'll have more energy left to finish the lift. good job man I just hit 126 kg last saturday in a competition. keep up the good work

Thanks. I think I understand what you are saying. Quit pulling the bar hard as **** off the ground, and drop under faster.

Thanks. I don't see you in my cp, but my cp only goes back a week. Don't worry about the reps.

Unfortunately the nail in the coffin is going to come to our weight lifting program when my senior class leaves in a couple days. Since our long time weight lifting coach left last semester is has gone down hill fast. When my class leaves there will be no one left who can do a snatch or clean and jerk, and no coach to teach it. Only power cleans will remain under the new lifting coaches.

Good job brother!

Is it an optical illusion or did i notice you turn your head mid-lift?

Thanks. I noticed that too, I have watched it back in slow motion and I still can't tell if I am actually turning my head. It looks like I did the same thing on my 127.5 attempt. I am going to video from straight on next time so I can see it better.

I hope you stick with it. If you are not going away to college, check out Justin Thacker's gym. They have great equipment there and those guys get together and train on Saturdays. They are very interested in helping younger lifters.

I am going to MO state in Springfield. I have been looking for a gym there. I have found one that looks decent but more focus is on pl there.

Check out "Health Trax" operated by St. John's. It is a large sports performance center, i believe off of National on the edge of town. Jeff trained there when he was at Mo State, used to be O lifting coaches there, very good equipment, bars, platforms, etc.

Awesome. Thank you. I will definitely check that out when I go down there this summer for orientation.

Just looked up the location and it is perfect. Right next to the restaurant I will more than likely be working at next year.
