I just started dieting a month ago. I lost 6 kg (with no exercise, just meal plan) at a rate of 1.5 kg/week. This month I added some swift walking of 6km/h speed for 40 minutes. Now since I just started out, I read a bit on google that you're going to be stuck with the excess skin from losing large amount of weight no matter what. Is this true? Here are my stats:
Age: 20
Weight: 286 lb
Height: 178 cm ~ 5ft 11 in? Or so.
I also heard that drinking lots of water early on can help with that. Currently I drink no less than 2 liters of water a day. I'm not really sure how much calories is my diet but its around 1500 calories a day and I'm looking for a 1.5 kg/week loss. Any advice on how to avoid the excess skin from the get go?

you might be left with excess skin, you may not be. it all depends on how you carry your body fat. how fast you gained it. how long you've been overweight for. how good you're skin is in general.
chances are, it will snap back eventually. have a good diet, stay hydrated and you'll be fine. the skin is an amazing organ. it will adapt.
I went from around 150 to 300lbs in a really short space of time. I ended up with stretch marks around my gut, really badly. im now about 180. I had a lot of flappy skin around there. but it's all more or less evened out.
if you pull on it, and it snaps back, it's fat. but if you stretch it out, and it stays stretched, you know it's skin.
but seriously. don't worry about it. even with a bit of loose skin. you will look and feel 1000000000x better if you shed a few layers

Alright thanks bro. Is 3-4 lbs drop reasonable in a week?

If you weigh 285 and your only consuming 1500 calories a day and incorporating exercise into your routine 3-4 lbs is definetly reasonable. Just make sure you don't overdo it. Find a good balance

Exercise, hydration, and the right fats in your diet will all help with skin.
Genetics, age, and duration at your peak weight all factor in (make it better or worse depending)
I am 43, and dropped over 100 in a year, but nutrition was a massive part of my plan which helped with loose skin tremendously I feel.
I still had a fair bit, but as my fitness activity ramped up as I lost weight, the loose skin became smaller.
Now, I still have some but it is very minor to the point nobody would really take notice but myself, and I am very confident that within the next year even the last hold outs will disappear entirely.
