Just competed in NABBA NI in the toned figure category. I was in the best shape ever and in better shape than all of the competitors placing 4-6. The reason this has really upset me is the girl placing 5 obviously had an eating disorder she had no muscle or tone and looked like a wire coat hanger with skin in it
My question is do you think girls this skinny being allowed to even enter let alone place is bad for the sport so many of us love? And is there anything that can be done about it?

Well, I suppose anyone is free to enter any competition they wish. Whether they should place is a different story. But as the above poster says, I think we need to see pics before anyone can answer your question adequately.
And just a question - did you mean to say "toned" figure? I've never heard it referred to that way.

To be fair - she did say that she only just competed....meaning her weight is going to be low.
OP - are you one of these girls:

Edit: Just checked out the NABBANI athletes - pretty impressive physiques! http://www.nabbani.co.uk/athletes/athletes.php

True...pictures would really help. I just get irked when folks with "tiny" stats start calling folks skinny, LOL. Like when a 100 lb soaking wet cousin starts calling herself fat. I get close to smacking someone, LOL ;)
Sorry OP

Anyone should be allowed to enter .. whether you win or not is a different story
@ 5'4" 107 most females here would think you're the skinny one.. it's all relative

NABBA UK has a toned figure category which is a level above bikini they no longer have a bikini category but in my opinion need to bring it back.
I would post a pic of said skinny girl but haven't figured out how
I'm not as skinny as you think or at least I don't look that skinny im toned. I'll post a pic as I said when I figure it out and believe me this other girl is skinny

How old are you and how many years have you been training consistently? Unless you carry alot of overall muscle on your frame, you would be pretty skinny as well. There is no such thing as tone...
Like everyone else, waiting to see the comp pics.

Im 7st 4lbs this week. Body fat @ 14.4. I'm 5ft 4in. I'm 44 been doing this for about 1 1/2 years. I used to be 16st 4lbs. I'll have to up load photos from my desktop computer can't do it on my iPhone.
I slimmed down to do this category. I won't be doing that again as I can't compete with girls 20 years my junior I'm planning on putting on serious muscle and competing in trained figure it may take me a couple of years but I'll do it. I agree skinny is not a good look. The other girl I would guess is about 5st. I'm not even thinking of going there.

Keep an eye out for this thread today. I promise I'll get pics posted today. It hard to find the time for everything. I'm a full time carer to my husband. He has early onset dementia and a mood disorder. He's hospitalise at the moment so I'm running there. Hope to get him home soon. I do bodybuilding to relieve the stress. I promise I will post pics.

So you came to bodybuilding.com and created an account, just to say that someone that placed higher than you in a fitness related competition, shouldn't be allowed to compete because YOU think they are too skinny.

still no pics, OP.
She doesn't have enough posts to attach pictures.
For new members, posting links and pics is kind of a process.
OP:
You can upload photos to your profile and direct people to those, or ask someone to attach one to a post in this thread.
I believe you still need 50 posts to do the latter on your own.
