View Full Version : More cut but no weight loss

My contest prep is weird this year. I'm taking pics every two weeks, and I'm far more cut at 11 weeks out (now) than I was at 13 out. However, the scale disagrees, saying i'm still 202.5. How is this possible? I guess I should weigh myself in the morning, without shoes, etc... But i try to do it at a consistent time each week. I'm not worried about it, because the mirror shows progress, but it is curious. Anyone experience something similar?
Also, I have lowered my cals by 100 from 2550 to 2450, to try and budge the damn thing.

the simple answer is that you are actually gaining muscle while concurrently reducing bodyfat. This is definitly a good thing.

But, it could also be that your water weight is fluctuating higher at the times you weigh yourself. Lets hope its the first scenario.
