Can some one explain to me why my bf is 17% my LBM is 118 lbs and my fat weight is 24.... but i feel thick as s*** and have no visible abs whatsoever!
I dont look "big" but there are people with a higher BF and look much better! I weight train and do cardio and follow all the "rules"!!!what gives :(
I dont even know if this makes sense
but ah :/ im so frustrated :(
my diet isnt crappy either.... the only "bad" thing id eat would be fruit and that is in moderation
Im starting to think i need to drop even more BF but im stuck as to how I can accomplish this... can anyone help me out??? :(

I would say you are either not training your abs right so they are not big enough to show or not eating right - not enough protein to build muscle and maybe too many calories.

You need to eat a surprising amount of protein (for me it is at least) to hit your intake (I go for 1.5g per kg of bodyweight so at least 90g a day). Read the thread about macros.

FWIW in my profile pic I am over 20% bodyfat, but I worked hard to get strong abs, so they show. Some recommended exercises (don't bother with crunches):

- Hanging knee raises (then hanging leg raises when you're ready)
- Swiss balls pikes with roll-out (search YouTube for the video)
- Buy an ab roller
- Plank - side and front

Also myotatic crunches are good, and bicycles. Do HIIT for cardio.

Some people show visible abs at different body fat levels than others, so try not to get too stressed about abs. Focus on continuing to make progress.

Hmm, just eat about 500 cals less that your maintenance and you'd end up losing 1 pound a week.

Then again, there are a lot of skinny fat people so looks really dont mean that you arent fat etc. Also, 17% bf for a woman isnt bad at all !!!
