Ever since Maximize Intense was released, I was dying to get my hands on a tub! And being the generous dude that he is, VaughnTrue hooked me up with the Maximize Intense + Hemavol stack to log, and a sweet iForce T-shirt to rock with it, Which I couldn't be more happy about!

So thanks to VaughnTrue at iForce for the sick hook-up.. I'm about to make an epic log out of it! :cool:


....Let's Get This Started....


Current Goals:

Right now, my goals are to keep calories high and try to add a few pounds of LBM over the next couple months while maintaining a low bodyfat percentage. I don't gain weight easily, and I drop weight very easily as I am usually pretty active during the day, so it's not hard for me to remain lean.

I also am contemplating doing my very first Bodybuilding show in mid-May. I would like to add a few pounds before the show, and getting lean enough will be no problem at all as I am pretty much in contest shape.. but the only thing that is holding me back/ making me iffy is the tanning (although I could use one :p) and getting on stage in posing trunks. I have never been much of a "stage" person, so this is something huge for me to overcome. I most likely will man up and do it anyway though as I have a lot of support from friends/family.


Training:

Currently I am running PHAT right now. I have ran it before in the past and am now coming back to it because I enjoy it. I have made a few minor modifications to fit how I want to lift (such as dropping the speedwork for heavier working sets)

Here is my current schedule:

Sunday - Upper Body Power
Monday - Lower Body Power
Tuesday - Rest
Wednesday - Back & Shoulders Hypertrophy
Thursday - Lower Body Hypertrophy
Friday - Chest & Arms Hypertrophy
Saturday - Rest


I don't do any cardio at the gym, never have, because I am pretty much always on my feet walking during the day and very active, plus I have a physical job so I get plenty of cardio activity without 'scheduled' cardio at the gym.

I am just coming off a 1 week break/deload a few days ago and today will be Back & Shoulders with my first dip into the stack! Really looking forward to see how this helps my training and I plan on accomplishing a TON in the coming months - motivation is very high!

I will update the log everyday, and will include pictures and videos every so often for progress updates on body comp and lifts at the gym

Notes:

Last night's Back & Shoulders Hypertrophy workout... took my first dip into the Maximize Intense + Hemavol stack, and it was pretty amazing. I had high expectations for this, but the combo actually rose way above my expectations and it definitely lives up to and beyond the hype. Taste of each was amazing and I felt incredible in the gym. I felt like I was able to keep the same intensity I had at the beginning of my workout all the way to the end, and my rest periods were much shorter which is something I previously struggled with. The pumps in my back were insane as well - a good back pump is my favorite. Potent stuff for sure!

I'll toss up my initial review after a few more uses, as well as a final review at the end, but from the way my first workout went.. I'm thinking I'm gonna have a ton of fun with this log :cool:

As for the workout.. incredible again. First hypertrophy leg day back from my week off and I'm already hitting PR's on Squats and other things? Hell yes. I tend to hit PR's quite often as I always push myself to the limits and try to up the weight on most things by 5lbs each week. Leg Pumps were insane with this stack, and I have found with my 2 days of using this stack that the pump seems to stick around a lot longer than normal which is awesome. Vascularity was pretty nuts too.

Thanks man, and glad to have ya. Intense + Hemavol has become my favorite with my 2 uses so far as well.. just incredible workouts.

First time I did separate to taste each as I've never tried either before --> each tasted damn good

Last night I tried it mixed together --> was fuarkin' delicious!

Again, last night's workout.. Chest & Arms Hypertrophy! This should be my last delayed update as I am hoping to have my schedule straightened out over the weekend, so expect future updates to be more 'on time' from now on. I was pretty sore from my leg day previous to this, and I felt like my numbers may have suffered a bit due to this, but I still put in a great workout. Also used a steeper Incline on Incline DB Press because I feel like my upper chest is lacking a bit.. I'll see how this works out. Everybody loves a good chest and arms pump, and I definitely had an epic pump going on, crazy vascularity in my biceps and forearms as well.

So far, my favorite part about the stack is the endurance and ability to keep rest periods short and keep moving. That was something I had previously had troubles with, but now it's almost as if I have to tell myself to rest a little longer because I just want to keep going.

Also, I edited my previous workout updates because I had forgot to mention I currently use AI Sports RecoverPro as an Intra.. :o

Pretty solid workout.. gym was packed, but I was able to keep focused on my lifting and didn't have to slow down much, just tried to choose exercises that nobody else was doing and keep moving as I was in the zone. Even on Power days I get a solid pump (although some things went a little higher rep). Still loving the long-lasting endurance and energy I am getting from the stack. I will post up my initial review after tomorrow's workout, because then I will have had a full "scheduled" workout cycle while using this stack.

One thing I have noticed with the past 2 workouts (not sure if it's just a coincidence or what) is that I tend to be ravenously hungry at the end of my workout which I find kind of odd - not necessarily bad though. Seeing how there is DMAA, I would expect to have an appetite suppressant effect like I get with other products containing DMAA, but this hasn't been the case, at least with the last 2 workouts. Like I said, this isn't bad as I am trying to bulk a bit and need to eat a lot, but I thought it was worth noting.

One of the best workouts I've had in a while, hit quite a few PR's. Since I'm in a slight calorie surplus, I always aim to hit new PR's each workout and I usually do, but I don't normally list them out too often because I'll usually PR on a few things. If you're following along though, you should be able to notice when I increase the weight or reps on certain exercises ;) Also had insane pumps and vascularity to match.. this stack is really no joke when it comes to that. My whole upper body was pumped to the max which felt awesome, especially when it feels like my lats are stretching my shirt. Was training my buddy again and he was having a hard time keeping up ha :p I ordered him the Intense + Hemavol stack cause he really wants to try it so we'll see if he likes it as much as I have been.


After-pump arm pic.. should have taken a before because the pumps were nuts.. perhaps I will for my Chest & Arms Hypertrophy. Crappy phone pic, but I had a crazy split bicep vein going on here

Notes:

Gym was damn near empty besides for a few cardio bunnies, so I was able to beast through this workout without any distractions. Definitely worked up a heavy sweat as my rest times between sets were pretty short. The endurance with this stack is really awesome, and I am able to keep pushing hard when I would normally begin to tire and slow down. Squats are feeling really strong, looking forward to shooting for 3 plates next hypertrophy leg day. Will be an awesome feeling/accomplishment to be able to rep out 315 for 8+ reps :D

Heh, my form may loosen up a little bit when I go heavy on these, but I make sure to get a solid squeeze at the top and fight the negative, and try to minimize any swing as much as possible. Seems to be working pretty well

My Chest was still a little sore and tight from my Chest and Arms workouts two days prior, but after a couple warm-up sets everything seemed to loosen up nicely and I had an awesome workout with a solid amount of improvements. My gym is going to need to get some heavier dumbbells, as they only go up to 100's here right now and those are already almost too light for my power days. Endurance and energy was great again and I felt strong all the way through. And I am noticing and enjoying that the energy seems to last a little while after I finish my workout so I can still function like a normal person instead of feeling like a zombie, and then it tapers off nice and slow back down to baseline.

I know, right?! Anytime Fitness :( I keep telling the manager to get some heavier ones, at least to 125's or something and I think he's working on it but I don't know

And thanks, REALLY enjoying that exercise lately. I have such a strong mind-muscle connection with my lats when I do it, they pump up so quick! lol definitely my favorite all around back exercise right now

Like I said, I know my form may not be the most 'beautiful' on those, but I make sure to get the squeeze at the top and fight the negative as much as possible. It seems to work pretty well as my forearms/brachi are always nicely pumped when I finish my sets and I have seen some good growth in that area as well.

Thanks bro, love me some squats! :D And yes definitely hitting parallel or below as I find that to be the most important thing about Squats for best growth, strength and development. I make sure to hit proper depth otherwise I just don't feel like it 'counts'

I'll get a vid up next power day when I go for 330 or on my hypertrophy day when I go for 315 for 8-10 for verification.

Also anybody feel free to 'call me out' on the lifts I post, I will try to get videos up ASAP for them to try and keep this log interesting!

I like them pretty well, I think I might actually prefer them a little over my RecoverPro for a straight BCAA product. Lots of flavor choices, and I enjoyed quite a few of them, especially cherry, orange, and grape. Mixes up a little better than RecoverPro also, foams up quite a bit though, but it goes away pretty quickly. I wouldn't mind getting a tub of this

I dont know how some of you can do it...When Max-Intense is pushing me harder to train the legs, sipping an intra is the last thing I want to be doing...Last few times, I almost puked....Im sticking with water for those leg days ...at least until Im on a different...WEAKER...pre :D

Funny thing happened to my friend as well after a leg day, he got some dizzy and started seeing stars when he was done. Went outside to parking lot and just stood still for 10 minute staring out into space wondering where his car was lol.

Lower Body Power workout from last night.. went very well. Did my usual Squat warm-ups and decided I was going to get a video for you guys on my first heavy working set. Took the video, watched, and was disappointed to see that somewhere along the way of adding weight, I had lost depth from when I had previously posted a form check video, and was now coming short on parallel. So I decided right then to lower the weight a bit and replace them with below-parallel box squats to regain proper depth, and to re-enforce my form cause someone had mentioned them in the Supp Misc. discussion thread. Man, those were difficult, but I'm definitely going to like using them for a while and can already tell they will be a great tool. Had some new-found DOMs from them though, especially in the glutes from coming off the box lol. Overall, I was very pleased with how this workout went.

Awesome workout last night, one of the better ones I've had in awhile. Strength has been increasing very nicely over the past few weeks, and I seem to be getting bigger by the mirror, without no increase in bodyfat. Chest growth seems to be the most noticeable. Also, about a week ago I started adding in the COP and ALCAR pre-workout. Definitely have noticed the cognitive benefits of the ALCAR which I love and will surely keep this a staple. COP is hard to tell, but it does seem to have given me some increased endurance, although the Max Intense + Hemavol already provides near unstoppable endurance. Going in to hit up Lower body in a few, will post up later :D

Friday's Chest and Arms Hypertrophy went pretty well, despite having a good bit of DOMS from Thursday's training. Like I said in a previous post, I have definitely noticed a bit of chest growth recently and I think it has really helped on getting a better mind muscle connection on presses. Which has also led to getting some increased DOMS in my chest as well, which is pretty cool because that was an area I've never really gotten much soreness. I seem to be almost out of my Hemavol, looks like only 1 or 2 scoops left which is odd because I have only been doing 1 scoop, and I'm one of those people who spends the extra bit of time to get the powder perfectly flush with the top of the scooper ha. Good thing I have some more tubs so I can continue the stack until my Intense is empty ;)

Was going to post this up yesterday, but my computer/internet decided to crap out and I was having trouble using Bodybuilding.com, as well as many other sites, but now it seems to be back to normal. Training went well for me, got a few improvements on a couple of things, and my vascularity was INSANE, seriously. It was crazy how veiny and pumped I was getting, especially when I got to the pulling/curling exercises.

Ended up finishing off the tub of Hemavol that Vaughn sent me. Scraped as much powder as I could into the scoop which filled it about 3/4 the way, and then eye-balled the rest of the powder I couldn't get to in the tub and decided that it would probably fill out to exactly one scoop altogether, so I just turned the tub of Hemavol bottom-up and dumped it into my shaker bottle. It appears I only got 24 one-scoop servings, instead of 32 like the label says, oh well. Atleast I have a few more tubs to use so I can continue the stack :D So I cracked open a new tub for my Lower Body Power workout, which I will post up in a little bit.

Solid Lower Body Power workout, put up some good numbers and was quite satisfied when leaving the gym. Box Squats are definitely getting tougher as I continue to try and add weight. Managed to get 5 reps for the first 4 sets and then on the 5th set I got stuck on the box on the 5th rep so I had to drop the bar down to the safeties in the squat rack. As I said in the post above, I cracked open another tub of Hemavol Lemon Drop to continue the stack, but I noticed something odd about the scooper in this tub compared to the one Vaughn sent me. It was much bigger so I looked at the measurements and the newly opened tub has a 20cc scoop while the empty one from Vaughn had a 13cc scoop. I opted for the smaller scoop since I assume that is closer to the correct size. Not a big deal, just something I noticed. Going in for Back + Shoulders in about 10 minutes :D

EPIC workout! I always love Back and Shoulder days, probably my favorite pair of muscle groups to train, and I really had a good hypertrophy day and hit them hard. Definitely had some epic pumps as well, got the feeling where it feels like you're wearing shoulder pads from shoulder pumps and your lats are stretching out the shirt on your back. Also switched up a couple of exercises for shoulders which was a nice change. Gave a good new burn on the delts.

Just put in my headphones and went to work, had this song playing a few times. Seemed to fit perfect for my mood that night and kept me going strong until the final set.

I decided to take Thursday-Saturday off, as my schedule/sleeping has gotten way out of wack again, and it has begun to take a bit of a toll on me and my motivation. I will start back up on Sunday, back at Upper Power and continue on from there. I believe this to be best to give my body a little break and fully regain my strong motivation, and also get into the gym at a much earlier time. Going to the gym late at night like I have been due to my sleep schedule has its perks, but I think I would much rather enjoy getting in earlier in the day/morning, so that is my plan. I am already looking forward to hitting it hard again on Sunday, so I think this plan will have paid off pretty well.

Also, looks like I only have a few servings of Maximize Intense left, so I will be wrapping up this log within the next week or so most likely, and will get my final review up. I have definitely REALLY enjoyed my run with these products, and if you saw the post earlier in my log, I already have another tub so I can run the stack again in the future :D

Great day back from the short break, felt awesome to be in the gym again. Stamina and endurance was perfect and I kept up my pace very well. Also felt like my strength levels were up a good deal from my few days off, so the recovery aspect definitely helped. Really hoping my gym gets some heavier DB's soon though. They just put in a new squat rack, but they we could definitely use more DB's past 100's as these are almost too light for my liking for Power days.

Didn't have as good of a Lower Body Power day on Monday as I had hoped for. I don't think I had enough food/carbs in me prior to the workout, because after the first few sets of Squats I started to feel weak and hungry, and just an overall 'empty' feeling and I couldn't really concentrate. So after I pushed through the 'quad' portion of my workout, I took a short break and decided to run across the street quick to the Econo Foods grocery store and pick up a turkey sandwich from the deli to eat, which seemed to make me feel quite a bit better. After the small interlude, I walked back and finished up the rest of my workout pretty strong so I was pretty happy about that I guess. I was hoping to PR on Box Squats.. but now I have more motivation for next week to nail it.

Great workout - much better than Monday's Lower Body Power - man, I love back days :D Was more adequately 'fueled' for this workout, and I definitely had a ton of energy. Hit quite a few PR's as well. One of my buddies that I hadn't seen in awhile was at the gym and we trained together and it was a great time. It's always great training with someone who works just as hard and is just as serious/dedicated as you are, so we were motivating each other to push our limits, and the pumps showed hah.

Used up the very last of my Maximize Intense, scraped out as much as I could get to with the scooper in the tub, and then proceeded to use my tiny COP scooper to get the remaining powder and fill the rest of the Intense scoop. Ended up being exactly 1 level scoop, maybe a tad rounded. So that looks like the conclusion of my first experience with this stack... definitely loved it and had a ton of great workouts. I have a sample of Maximize V2 which I will try tonight to compare, and then Friday I will use a different stimmed pre to stack with Hemavol to continue out the log til the end of this training week before taking my stim break.

Tried out the Maximize V2 sample RaginAzN gave me awhile back for this Lower Body H.T. workout. Stacked with Hemavol, this stuff is wesome- I think I like the combo almost as much as Intense. Definitely had some great endurance and was smashing through this workout pretty good. Had a bit of a niacin flush, but no worries. Overall, had a great workout, hit some new PR's specifically was happy about the BOX squats. Seem to be getting the hang of those pretty well. One more workout trying a different stimmed pre stacked with Hemavol, and then I'll wrap this log up. Thanks for following thus far :D

Notes:

Final workout for this log, some Chest & Arms Hypertrophy on Friday night. Tried out a sample packet of AEN PSU with my Hemavol, and also tried an increased dose of 1.5 scoops Hemavol. Holy pumps and vascularity.. it was pretty crazy, started feeling pumped and veiny before even getting to the gym. And it seemed to last well into the next day too. At first I was a little 'meh' at the beginning of my workout, since my Flat DB numbers were down a few reps, but after that everything seemed to go quite nicely and I got a few improvements so I was pretty satisfied by the end.

Definitely had a ton of enjoyment running the Maximize Intense + Hemavol stack for this log, thanks again VaughnTrue and iForce for hooking me up. You definitely have created a loyal fan/customer. And thanks to everyone who followed as well :D

Will work on my review and try to get it up in the next couple of days.. stay tuned
