Could you tell us what the NGA bkini look is like? I have seen the offical criteria but have not seen a lot of competitor pics/vids of what type of physique is rewarded. I see a lot of the bodybuilding and figure but with bikini being so new, i have not seen what type of physique they are looking for.
How conditioned do they typically like? How much muscle? What are the typical turnouts for the classes have you seen? What kind of posing is rewarded?
I can not seem to find a lot of information on the female side of things.

Thanks!

The best way to describe a Bikini Model is a "hot chick who goes to the beach, who goes to the gym." Unlike the hard, lean look of a Figure competitor, a Bikini Model has a softer, fuller physique. We are not looking for baby fat but your look can be a little fuller. We would still like to see some definition between muscle groups, but we are not looking for hard cuts or vascularity. The poses are a bit sassy, for instance, a front pose with a hip out and maybe one hand on that hip. The rear pose might include a look back over your shoulder towards the audience...with a sassy smile. The t-walk is less formal and maybe a bit "dancey" instead of a formal Figure walk. In my show, the 2012 NGA Alabama Natural Open Bodybuilding, Figure, Male Physique and Bikini Model Championships, Birmingham, AL, July 14, the class has two rounds. Round one, in the morning, starts with a Bikini and heels, with quarter turns and a t-walk. Then the competitor changes into a sports top, short-shorts and sneakers and repeats the turns and t-walk. Round two, in the evening, the competitors reverse the appearances with sports dress first, followed by Bikini. Again, each appearance includes quarter turns and a t-walk. Please visit the show site and check out the section on criteria. www.NGAAlabamaOpen.com.

I see you are a Navy lady. I am a retired U.S. Navy Captain. Regards, Old Navy

As long as all goes according to plan, I'm hoping to make the road trip down for this show.

Hey guys just wanted to post and say that I have been proud to have been at Scott's NGA Alabama Open for the last 2 years providing spray tans to get contestants looking their absolute top best on stage.

If you are looking for a well run show this is it PLUS it is a pro-qualifier what could be better?
This is my favorite show each year to be a part of because everyone involved is great from the judges to the contestants and especially the host. Everyone works hard to make sure all goes smoothly.

If you are interested in this show or if you have already signed up please visit our website and make your appointment for a Competition Spray Tan. We will be AT the show backstage and at the host hotel.
Don't waste time going to your regular tanning salon for a spray tan because even if you get sprayed with their darkest tanning color you will likely still not be stage ready, there is a difference and often people realize it too late and end up spending extra $$$ instead of getting it done the right way the 1st time.

We can make your hard work really show when you are on-stage and make you stand out. We are offering a discount to those that sign up BEFORE 6/15/2012 so don't wait.

You can find us at NGA ALABAMA OPEN - SHOW INFORMATION - SPRAY TAN we also have a webpage that you can find at " sunkissedspray-dot-com"

There are photos and a video of us on there for you to watch. Also check out our face book page linked from the website for additional photos from various shows. Our goal is to make you great.
Again we look forward to meeting and TANNING all you hard working competitors this year at the NGA Alabama Open.
